Umm, I don't think your brain should hurt just from use.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire0 -

Seriously though. I use my brain all the time and it doesn't hurt.
The only time my brain hurts is when it's starving for oxygen or hydration.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Seriously catefrancis. Pain is to tell you something is wrong. No one should be getting headaches very often. It scares me that people accept headaches as a normal part of life and stress. We shouldn't get headaches all the time. High blood pressure, brain tumors, low oxygen to the brain, dehydration, malnutrition. I don't know what causes headaches, but I have a hard time believing it's just from using your brain.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. oh ahnimus. did you not see the big big smilie faces?
i know my head shouldn't hurt just from use. but the fact of the matter is my head does hurt. it hurts more than it should. usually it is from stress. sometimes from dehydration. other times from cigarette smells and perfume. i have found the codeine family to be very helpful in relieving the pain.hear my name

let's not get into a big medical discussion here. if there is something wrong that can only be helped with drugs then i don't want to know. i don't want my brain working any differently than it does now. i like it just the way it is thank you. except for the headaches of course.hear my name

Except that, painkillers like Tylenol and Aspirin only eliminate the symptoms, not the problem.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. seriously though, i am an atheist, and i would be pretty pissed if i couldnt do something because of that. yet, if some person incorporated with a religion was banned from something because of that, you would have a lawsuit on your hands.
i hate when people say religion promotes peace.if so, than what was the holocaust about? or this war today(among other reasons)?they call them fingers, but i never see them fing. oh, there they go0 -

Ok, well as long as you have seen a doctor about it, and not some new-age nut-case. But, hey, it's your life, what do I care, right?I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Restless Soul wrote:I just spoke with someone from a scout organisation who told me they don't accept people with no faith as "they don't have morals". Personally I think this is discriminatory and totally bullshit because who are faith-based people to say they are the only ones with morals?
Personally whenever I see a “religious-ista” coming I run a mile because I don’t trust them, or any possible agenda they might have. Religions might have a moral code to live by but anyone can have that. You don’t have to be religious. Why can’t people see the difference!!
/rant.
Sorry, had to vent!
Just returning to your original post after a truly amazing debate, I forgot to mention, that this doesn't sound like the scouts. I was in the scouting movement, same one started by Baden-Powell, when I was a kid as were my brother and cousins and none of us were people of faith and they took us! And they musn't have had too much of a problem with our morals because, HELL, both myself and my Mum were leaders! Sounds like the person you were speaking to was blowing wind up your bum!:D
BTW It was because of their insistence of adhering to religious principals that we both eventually left which was a shame really because I really enjoyed all the things we got to do except for all the religious stuff!;)NOPE!!!
