The refs should've blown the whistle when Manning was in the grasp! That's why it's called a "miracle play" when that Kermit the Frog lookalike can get lucky like that. But Brady is a shoe-in for the Hall. The Manning Bros? Some ways to go. Peyton, probably, but not a shoe-in. Eli?
the hole they dug themselves into last year was insane (13 games back of the division and 9 games back of the wild card) and they managed to still make the post season and only ended up 2 games back of boston in the divison.
the yankees keep hanging around this year and i can't see them not in the playoffs. they will be bumping either boston or tampa out of the playoff picture come september.
Seriously, what you should do is find out if there really is class. I can't tell you how many times I've cut off my Thursday night boozing college parties at like 11pm because of class on Friday morning, only to find out that class was cancelled.
I did find out before I booked my flights. It's finals week so we may even have our finals that Monday. :(

You're correct in that it's plausable that they will make the playoffs, although the East this year has become interesting in a 3-team race. The funny thing about the Yankees is that on paper they have a tremendous team. They should go further each year than they wind up going. And when it becomes a pattern, it's kinda funny. They at least should have a lot more pennants by now than they do, and you can chalk it up to a lot of things. They'll always have hitting, but their pitching and bullpen, like the Sox are a question mark. And there is something magical that I can't describe when it comes to the Sox and the playoffs. Like the other person said, they do thrive in the face of adversity. I personally don't want to face the Angels in the playoffs as they are the real deal.

lol 2 ws in 100 years and the sox are suddenly magical in the playoffs lmao
Didn't one of the managers or coaches (not Dusty) used to be with the Cubs and friends with Vedder? I thought I read that somewhere, but now I can't find the article.
i saw that. why was he wearing the reds jersey as a cubs fan? just b/c he was throwing out the pitch?

It's a lot more than 2 WS my friend. And yes, once they made that historic comeback in 2004 for the pennant, they became a different team. Same thing happened with the Cleveland Series and being on the brink of elimination.
Hey look, as great as the Celtics have been for the past 40-plus years, it's good every now and again for them to win it all to remind people who the true kings are of the parquet floor. It has been a while for the Bankees, hasn't it?
like the celtics and the canadians they have to win every few years ,,its written in stone ( sometimes its longer 15 -20 or so ) but once the situation rights itself,,,its back to gravy
honestly it got boring winning every year ,,the yanks needed to the sox to win to even call it a rivalry ( i mean 6 apperaances in a 8 years lol cmon !!)

Will the Knicks win it all before the Bruins? That's the next question!
Just got back from the M's-Sox game. I scored 4th row tix next to the Boston dugout on TM yesterday. Any way about the top of the second inning here comes Ed and a couple other guys ( i think one was his bro) and they sit in the front row right in front of us. Theo comes down soon after and sits with Ed for the entire game. About the fourth inning i get up the nerve to ask Ed for a picture and he was very cool about it. (I just told him keep up the good work, that's all i could think of saying at the moment without sounding like a Psycho fan). After the game Ed and Theo were very gracious to people who wanted autos and pictures. I'll try and post my pictures tommorow but i'll just say Ed was way fucking cool to everyone who noticed him.
cool!
that would probably be the only reason worth sitting thru a baseball game for me.

Yeah, I was at that game running camera for the scoreboard crew. I got some good pics of him shagging flyballs. Anyway, yes...he's friend with Jose Cardenal who used to play for the Cubs and coach for the Reds.

It's actually 6, but who's counting.
Besides what have the Yanks done this decade besides waste $1,376,850,008 in payroll with no titles.
