If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.
Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.

ansel adams has always been my favourite photographer...although i must say i have a great deal of respect for the many photographers who post their work here, as you are all very talented...i hope i don't offend anyone, but i think that scubascott posts some of the best work i have seen in a long time. incredible pics, mate!
as far as paintings go...my three faves...
leonard peltier's "protector of the woods"...

phenomenal work! thanks for sharing that link abook. it's eerie...but i have a sketch that i had planned to turn into a painting that is virtually identical to "grass roots"... the only difference being that mine had a clock in it and the fingertips are turning to sand...otherwise, as i said, eerily identical...0 -

Holy shit! I'm glad this guy found an outlet through his paintings. I hate to think how he'd express himself otherwise. Great stuff though. Scary as hell.It doesn't matter if you're male, female, or confused; black, white, brown, red, green, yellow; gay, lesbian; redneck cop, stoned; ugly; military style, doggy style; fat, rich or poor; vegetarian or cannibal; bum, hippie, virgin; famous or drunk-you're either an asshole or you're not!

cool! this one is at the Art Gallery of Ontario, here in Toronto....
what i love about this sculpture is how well "loved" it looks.... see the bronze at the bottom of circular opening?? how it's all worn smooth and shiney? That's from people sitting on it, and sliding off... it's a great sculpture to climb around and through...
yes, my butt is one of those that have polished that bronze...~~*~~ ...i surfaced and all of my being was enlightend... ~~*~~0 -

haha! that one of the chickens is pretty "raw", huh? actually, the reason i have that one in my kitchen is becuase i have a Coca-cola theme in my kitchen, and when I saw one of Mary's painting with a Coke box in it, i had to print it out!!~~*~~ ...i surfaced and all of my being was enlightend... ~~*~~0 -
Kayo O'Young is a fairly well known Canadian potter...
i couldn't find any decent pictures of his work... i wish he had his own website... but here's something:

I have about a dozen of his pieces scattered about my living room...~~*~~ ...i surfaced and all of my being was enlightend... ~~*~~0
