I kept waiting for you to turn your back on me...but you didn't. Once again my insecurities got the better of me. It seems they are my downfall.

Well - off she goes - I can't believe the school would send the 6th graders camping in the middle of May for 3 days/ 2 nights !!! No electricity, no heat, they must be crazy. I must be crazy for letting her go.

I can only hope the sun comes out, and the weather warms up for these kids.

My son went on an "Outdoor adventure" with his school in middle school too. I was nervous about it (because he'd never been away from family for a weekend like that before) but he came home very happy. Your daughter probably will too. :)

Thank you for your kind words. I know she will be happy with all her friends. I am nervous :)

I guess this "mommy" is not so ready to let go of her baby.

A poem should include the illness and the cure; an action, even a laugh, should have texture; the ending should leave the reader hungry, not temporarily filled and stopped short. These are things I think of as I head in my new phase of poetry writing.

I'm tempted to change my username to Schwanzenbad-Hodenthaler. Google it.
    From http://ksumail.kennesaw.edu/~mglosup/ulysses/cyclops.htm

Joyce also mocks the German language in a list of punned names. Schwanzenbad-Hodenthaler, according to Gifford, means "Penis-in-bath--Inhabitant-of-the-valley-of-testicles"(334).

I have an empty and lonely feeling in the pit of my stomach. :(

I am a mess of emotions right now...excitement for the future and sadness for leaving here. :? :)
