    If the future seems
    overwhelming,
    remember that it comes
    one moment at a time.

    Wish you were here...

that little brown nose pointed up to the sky wiggles back and forth
    eyes half closed
I follow suit just to see what's up
is it the honeysuckle filling the air?
    the occasional sweet rose smell
    the jasmine
the musky morning damp pine straw
    the tepid pond water
is it the oil gas smell from the neighbor mowing?
or the fresh cut lawn left behind
our eyes meet brown and green
I smile but he can't follow suit, my dear friend
For a moment we seem to read each others thoughts and I know
    someone somewhere is cooking breakfast
though I have no proof but the look in his eye

There's nothing like waking up to nightmares and being so distracted by them that you wash your last pair of contact lens down the sink.

I'm going to be looking like a librarian in glasses for the next week or so. :? .

    Hail a Home
I have no site to see.
Gaze out above my plain, no.
Ground under the earthen plateau, yes.
With pebbles in the clefts of my ears.
    Do they focus sound?
Since I'm liberated, it doesn't hurt so much.

Co-dependent on my neighbor's shopping cart of moral redundancy.
Death seems to call, "go away!"
When I focus sound, never cease.
Missing shoelace might increase the tug.
Across the midwest you will steal for me.
The keen, fastly sleeping dominaut, gone to naught.

In creasing paper output to coals.
There is warmth under the grind.
Not far behind scowling appears common.
We're not needy; we have needs.
Columns of traffic hum are a restful steed.
In mine are the staves of culture, the missing, the plain.

my instant thought i wrote on a envelope 23 minutes ago...

    I have nothing,
    everything is everywhere
    for me.

    For me,
    emptiness is all a thought,
    an unopened door.

    No doorway do I find,
    all windows are broken
    yet solid as stone
    to see through.

    A mind surrounding a galaxy
    opens eternity.

last evening one of my neighbor's left their apt. keys in their mail box. so i left a note on his door and held on to them. this morning when he knocked on the door to pick them up... his genuine graditute that i had found them (rather than some shady person with ill intent) made my day :)

I just looked up the weather in Buffalo so I'd know what type of jacket to bring. It might snow tomorrow. It's May!! :x

But, I'm glad I looked. I would have had a nasty surprise if I forgot to bring real shoes. I've been living in sandals and flip-flops for a while now. :D

    Some happiness, chapter two
this ditty's for me, this ditty's for you
feel too warm to get cold
feel too young to be old
    what if we were all
    like molecules, so small?
    bouncing, bobbing, crashing the wall
could we be happier do you think?
and if we get thirsty, can't we just drink?

    :)

I thought I'd leave you all with some happy words because I'll be away from the computer for a few days!
