The podcast True Crime Garage just released a new episode on Brian Shaffer. An interview with the lead investigator from the case. Pretty good, he gives his insight into what he thinks happened. You can find it on any podcast platform. Episode 770.
Thanks for posting haven't listened to TCG in a while. Hadn't heard the rumors/info about his relationship with Clint before. Though I haven't followed the case in years.
On a lighter note, I liked the way the detective said Peaaaarll Jaaam.
Makes the most sense to me, that he likely could have walked out with the band. I didn't watch TCG.... but I did watch Mile Higher, and it seems that was the last thing he was doing.... Going back to talk w the band. I hope he left on his own accord... 🩵 It's just such a sad story all around though. So much tragedy around this family.
The "Happy Face Killer" apparently sent them some stuff so they'll dive into that. When I saw the promo, the first thing I thought of was the hypothesized link to Brian's case.
There is a TikToker that has been posting about a rolled up carpet buried under a tree. They were building a fence and dug a hole and discovered it. Apparently there is speculation there is/was blood or a body on/in the rug. Some of the commenters are speculating about Brian. Check out the video at the link below. She’s got a lot of TikToks about this rug. Probably a loooooooong shot it is Brian but a compelling story nonetheless. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTFUvFAan/

Interesting story, even if it isn't him.

Update: No body was found and the police closed the case.
This is also part of why I hate TikTok. Did she REALLY have to go there to be told what to do in the first place or did she just want her 15 minutes? Ugh.

I think I would go with the latter.

Haven't checked in on this thread in a while. But that "carpet" bit was an embarrassing grasp for attention.

She definitely wanted her 15 minutes of fame. A normal person would have called 911. "Hey, I have no idea what's going on, but there's this...thing here that seems out of place. It might be a dead body, but I have no idea. Can you send someone by to look?"
I totally forgot about this until replying.

Actually now I see that I mentioned the panning camera back in September...bad memory
The possible relationship between Clint and Brian was new to me also.

There appears to be no link in reality.

Exactly.
Back in the day, there was a series of bodies turning up with happy faces spray-painted nearby.
It was rumored that Brian fell victim to that, but...IIRC, it was sort of out of the area where the "happy face killer" was.
