electric cackle
mutes the unpleasant gloom
sparks fly bright
sparks fly
before the rainbow
early spring

dull distant booms
crackle fired shards
over folded pools
night explodes
in colorful (friendly) strands

Salted is the scent
showers of maritime sea,
St John's beckons me.
See you too, Bibliobella.. Cheers!!
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
Salted is the scent
showers of maritime sea,
St John's beckons me.
See you too, Bibliobella.. Cheers!!
Salted water
in my eyes, of my eyes
seeing clearly

Sea foam scale eyes, see
shipwreck sands in fast uplift
and know your cruel home
away from home
thrown from a wrecked ship
spiral down

giant moon dawn
it's gravity bent face
smiling at me
lamplight
through the greenest leaves
suspended pond

just as confused as me, she...
disbelief in me...
I like these things. Be cool to make a full poem out of many Haiku stanza's. hmm...

A series of linked haiku is called "Renga", and it's basically what we are doing on this thread.

This is heading towards Tanka which was courtly love poetry of Japan at about 100 years after Shakespeare was passing his sonnets around. Tanka is beautiful poetry, not as spirtual as haiku is meant to be, but poignant nonetheless.

Her phantom lover
gleams 'neath her moonpale window:
ectoplasmic thighs ...
Take your leave at once,
cast shadows o'er moonlit seas,
endless summer sighs
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,

barefoot on flattened tacks
feigning youthful pain
on mountain top falls
then lost into cool speed
a path of least resistance
closer than mixed breaths
later on
winter snow falls dissapears
different season
different weather
same picture
touched his face but not his soul
who cast this shadow?
pulsed warmly
ice blue drops drain days
Loving someone
who does not love you
is like going to the temple
and worshipping the behind
of some devil god.
lol
cracked me up
in that ouch, sorta way...
got a hard hard head
don't need a raincoat
i'm already wet
