Hello! I have a small thick book of blank pages that I just found for this project. The size of the page is perfect for a haiku. It will be the 1 year annivesary of this thread soon, and I decided to send this book of haiku from this board to Pearl Jam as a gift. Haiku is meant to be given as a gift. Did you know that?
Anyone up for this? I will ask permission before I include the poem. Anyone who does not want their poetry included or does not respond will not have poetry included in this little book. It should be fun!

i'll review some of the posts i made in this thread.. thanks for the idea miss bella
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
words tumble like blowing leaves
seeing them collected
a child learning how to read
her eyes wide open
each time i read her where
the wild things are
(Where The Wild Things Are was my daughters favorite book to have me read to her at night, some 19 year ago )

Could someone answer this? If someone wants another poster's haiku in the small thick book do I have to ask that person permission to write that haiku in the book? I don't have a problem with that, it just adds time. I'm not going to sell the book, just give it away.

I counted the number of pages in my little blank thick book, and I can't fit every poem in this thread, but I haven't received some responses, and people have opted out so I think I will be able to fit those that agree to have their poems included. Again, I will only include those poems that the posters have agreed to let me include.

Maybe it would be best to ask permission, but I don't know if you have to. I don't think anyone would have a problem though.
