don't need a helmet
got a hard hard head
don't need a raincoat
i'm already wet
upside hard hat
filled with rain water
backstroke for bumble bees
There is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
greys and green
raining on the sidewalk
autumn morning
There is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
pale orange moon
graces swelling tides
autumn evening
That's nice.

vesperal glances
lost late light
fallen under red autumn haze
autumn rain
washes away green
birdsong in haze
There is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
fire absorbs rain
axel spins light to dark
up all night and free
not shaking without need
fire shaking at night
without the moon
did it happen?

leaves twist and depart
catch and fly upon the breeze
loft is everything
when the smoke flies higher
the leaves fall
autumn frost

pretty orange leaf
rides on the breeze
autumn's butterflies
This is very nice, again!
orange sunset
vanishing behind the trees
river flows
I wish we could put the haiku on this thread and make a physical book. Some of the visual artists on this board could add their work. I guess, however, that this thread is the book. There are so many beautiful haiku on here!

children's laughter
warms the hearts
of snow angels
children eat falling snow
writing the moment with spaces

walking the beagle
fall's heir to summer breezes
leaves splash bright colors
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

poetry form unknown
look for knowledge
made of metal now

Are you asking about haiku? If you are asking for assistance on haiku there are many excellent haiku on this board. If you read a poem and you feel "AHA!" when you read it, like the world makes sense, then it's hit the mark as to the intent of haiku. Haiku are short poems 1,2 or 3 lines, usually between 12-17 syllables. Usually there is a seasonal reference. How I see it is a moment that is unique as part of an ongoing time, i.e., season, that anyone can recognize. Is that what you wanted to know? Haiku are my favorite type of poetry, they are truly spiritual to me because by reading them we can only be in the present. They do not focus on the past or the future, just the moment of now.
