Although, it is a little young-Eddie, or beard-free-Eddie centric . . . maybe this chick really likes him bare faced . . .

You know I often wonder whether I'd prefer to get my mitts on a young Eddie, or a current Eddie . . . I think we've discussed it on here before, but girls if you could be granted your deepest wish (which I'm assuming for pretty much all of you would be to get your hands on Ed) what would you choose?? . . . I actually think I'm leaning towards current Eddie . . . a) I'd never go for an Eddie that was younger than me coz I'd be weirded out by being older than my hero and b) I reckon I'd need the 16 year age gap to feel like I could even aspire to his league. A young Eddie and me would be strange, I'd feel lined and flabby, and he'd look like a mini supermodel . . . whereas at least with the older Eddie (as heart-breakingly gorgeous as he still is) I'd have the advantage of comparative youth on my side! Although, if women hit their sexual peak later than men, then maybe I'd need the young Eddie's libido . . . hmmmm . . . maybe I'll just ponder this for a while . . . Can you tell I'm bored on maternity leave?

It's amazing how much power our idols have . . . how much happiness they can bring us (if we let them, which we probably shouldn't because then the have the power to make us sad too!!!) . . . but seriously, getting those tickets and knowing I will be in the same room (huge room, but still a room!) with Eddie for 3 nights seriously changed my whole perspective and gave my summer a gleam, a shimmer it didn't have before . . . I'm not sure whether it was coincidence or timing, but the week I got those tickets, I started to feel so much calmer and more confident about the birth, and about having a baby, and about all of the scary unknown stuff . . .

I can't be sure whether I'll see my favourite band, or my beloved Mikey this summer (unless I give birth soonish) but I will definitely be seeing Eddie. He's coming! And that somehow makes everything alright. It's amazing, they're just musicians, just artists sharing their stuff with the world, and yet they can provide SO MUCH COMFORT. It's pretty special isn't it chicas . . .

Thanks Elmo, I've been doing my holiday research, I even put together a little spreadsheet on excel :oops: and gave it the title "Eddie Vedder Holiday"...is there a better kind of holiday than that? I don't think so! My family think I'm nuts, so I've been joking around about my 8 nights with Eddie (once at the BDO, then the rest on solo shows).

I'll probably book everything tomorrow because I know where I want to stay and what flights to book .

You'll have a great time seeing Ed for 3 nights . I wish I could have gotten tickets for Melbourne, but I'm looking forward to hearing how everything goes for you at the shows . I hope you can get to the BDO too so you can see Mikey too .

As for whether I prefer young or old Eddie...it is hard to choose, but I melt every-time I see the gif below! Because of my age I think I'm a bit more drawn to the photos of Eddie at a similar age to myself, but he is still gorgeous!

Have been lurking in this great thread for some time now and borrowing a picture here and there (thank you all for those great pics by the way). I thought that maybe I have 40-50 now and I have just checked :oops: Its 500
Not all of Ed, many of the whole band too. And I have to admit that I have a soft spot for Jeff too :oops:
If you have any nice Jeff's pics to post it would be welcome (of course I get that that's Ed thread and he's soooo.... worth it )
By the way, I have never posted a picture here. Do I need a Tumbler account or something or is it possible to upload it from a file on my comp? Thanks for any info, would like to contribute a nice picture sometimes
