talking about jealousy, I have met someone earlier this year who actually was picked out of the crowd by Eddie at one of the PJ 2012 shows, taken backstage, and talked to Eddie in his dressing room! the person asked me not to reveal her name, sorry. call me weird, but when she told me this, I couldnt sleep that night, I was THAT jealous!

Quick funny story... I watch pj you tube videos nearly every night when I am lying with my son waiting for him to fall asleep (unless I get sucked into this thread first ). Anyway... The other night I emerged probably at least 30 minutes after he was asleep and my husband was like "wow it took him a long time to fall asleep tonight." I must have had that very happy "I was just looking at ev" face because the next thing out of his mouth after he looked at me "damn eddie vedder" with a smile of course. He is finally at peace with my adoration of ev! Hooray! Thx for the laughs tonight!!

That IS cute Jen!!! . . . I'm so glad he's accepted sharing your love with EV . . . not many would! Be gentle though, because they put up with a lot our men . . . I'm not sure how I'd feel if my gorgeous husband had a lifelong passion for some amazingly beautiful, talented woman! It would make me feel weird and probably a bit inadequate.

I'm sure everyone has a few stories to tell about boyfriends and EV? . . . My first boyfriend (we're still mates) kind of likes PJ, but SWEARS that I said Eddie's name in the throes of passion one night when I was around 19! Have any of you ever done that?? I don't remember it, and can't imagine doing that. But he's adamant it happened (I was probably high!). My second boyfriend was seriously jealous of my 'thing' for Eddie Vedder, so much so that one night when I came home from a PJ concert with my girlfriends (just to pick something up from our share-house) we found him spooning some other girl in the bed! Wearing only boxer shorts!! WHAT THE FUCK???? What a dag. He swears that nothing happened, and was like 'well you were off at your PJ concert drooling over fucking Eddie Vedder', AS IF the two things are the same! DAG. We went out for breakfast recently (still mates too), and the man was STILL weird about Pearl Jam ten years later! I.e. when my husband and I mentioned we were seeing them in Philly on our US trip he couldn't have looked less impressed. Aaaaah the silly old thing!

My husband has always been much more accepting of my PJ obsession, and after the Philly gig I reckon he'd even travel around to see them with me! He's silly about them (jokes to everyone about how he's bigger than EV and could easily bash him) but deep down I think he GETS IT. Like he knows that we all need a form of escape, an obsession that is all ours to hold on to . . . and I think after he saw my utter JOY at the Philly concert he would do anything to see that joy on my face again. Cute. He's a good man my husband!

Last night though, as I was stalking the forums, he said something quite sad. He said 'I feel like a Pearl Jam widow' . . . which is pretty shite on my behalf. Especially after my performance on Friday night! (Went out with some work friends and got so drunk that I passed out at one of their houses, 2 streets from my own, and never even texted him to tell him I was alive - I'm the WORST). So I think given my shite behaviour, and him feeling like I'm an absent wife, I should probably give the PJ forums (and my most favourite thread ever) a little break for now, until I can't help myself again!

I HAVE been going a bit nuts on PJ recently, even for me. Does anyone else find that their addiction goes TURBO when the guys are on tour? Like you can't wait to read the setlists and Eddie's banter??? It's because it's such FRESH information . . . and you can learn so much about their moods and personalities. I feel like every story or bit of banter that Eddie shares gives me more of a complete picture of who he is. And his song choices too, they say something about his tastes and where he's at. It's totally addictive having all that recent PJ information, and now anytime I'm looking at my phone, or the computer etc, my husband says 'Pearl Jam?' kinda sadly.

So girls, help me be strong, and be a good wife . . . and less of a PJ nut!! I'll be back of course (no doubt very soon), and I'll be checking the thread on my i-phone all the time. And of course you will all be making me laugh my arse off!

You're all amazing and this is such a warm and accepting thread. A really lovely place to share our PJ and EV obsessions (one day I will learn how to post a picture I promise!). Thanks for being my therapists, and loads of love to everyone! I wish you lots of insanely hot and delicious Eddie dreams and fantasies!

Don't go away MsNelly! We would miss you! I definitely get the adoration into turbo issue. It's all about balance. I'm telling you just concentrate on the MUSIC and the beautiful soul for a few days and it will swing back into place....
