And Jen, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed reading your Tulsa review! I was like 'oooooh I LIKE this woman!' And then I realised it was one of the lovely chicas from this thread. No wonder it was so engaging and heartfelt!

And yes, I agree that the most important thing about PJ is the music, and what that means to each of us. Absolutely. Jen, I respect that you want to move away from the aesthetic, the surface of things, the worth we place on physical beauty . . . and I think that we could all use a bit more of that in our society. But please don't beat yourself up for objectifying EV on this thread now and then! You haven't lessened your love for the band and the music by posting a few lovely pictures of your hero.

Personally, I think objectifying EV (and harbouring huge crushes on him and MM) helps me to be a better wife! It's a clever way for me to get my dose of infatuation (one of the most addictive emotions in the world), without doing anything truly crap. I think my husband is absolutely gorgeous. He's warm and genuine, and there's not a tricky bone in his body. I adore him and I'm grateful for him every single day. But, of course, I'm human. And like many women (and men) I probably have a bit of a fondness, or weakness, for the opposite sex. Thus I think that lusting after my favourite musicians (who I've known and loved for most of my life) is not such a bad thing. It keeps me out of trouble. It's a positive thing. A useful tool!

And do you know what? I like to think that EV was given such a lovely shell so that we would better accept his beautiful soul. It's like his beauty is the colourful shiny object that grabs your attention, so that you notice the substantial, meaningful thing underneath. His looks were also pretty instrumental in telling the world (and girls like my 13-year-old self) that Pearl Jam existed, which was a positive, POSITIVE thing for many people . . .

And another thing, we might lust after how gorgeous and delectable he is, but most of that has to do with who he is as a man . . . if Eddie Vedder was a c**t with zero charm, warmth or humanity, I can bet that zero of us would give a shit how hot he is! Whereas even if he put on 50 kilos and went bald, I reckon most of us would still utterly adore him. We love him for his voice, his charisma, his talent and his empathetic soul. It's just a bonus that he's still such a BABE, and his wonderful face can cheer us up on crappy days

Glad u liked it. My brother and I even went to a little record store before the concert. I found a 2000 boot that I don't have. The day was so perfect and then ending with shaking the hand if ev. Feels like it may have been a dream. Depression hit yesterday but feeling better today after listening to AMS 2....

Ok... There is alot to respond to today, I wasn't able
to get to all of it yesterday, cause of the holiday and work,
But here goes, ( fair warning unless the 10c makes me
start all over due to time out, this could be a long post!)

Whispering hands... Your post also touched me, thx. I could not make my last exit from this thread....how could I? I love reading from you all too much! Remember a few weeks ago I cut my hand? It was hot eddie pics but more importantly the light hearted fun and love from you all that got me through the long er wait and the stitches. You've all made me laugh so many times and made my heart a flutter with the nice eddie pics. Yes you've made me blush too with your naughtiness at times. :nono: I'd miss you all too much. I was just so moved by seeing eddie after so many years and then meeting him and seeing those blue eyes up close I was just like...I can't go back and see another boner (did I just type that? :oops: )pic again! So I have to keep all of this in perspective. Ev is a musical genius and poet as far as I am concerned and I know we all agree on that! I'll be here cuz I love you all and will still enjoy the pretty pics of course but will try to keep some balance to all of this... And look away from certain pics!
