I absolutely LOVE Sirens-can't stop listening to it! It was even in my head when I woke up this morning!

I guess I'm just a sucker for the Ed love songs-Future Days is one of my new favorites!

I love this thread. everyone seems so pleasant. I've had a terrible week, depressed over my cat that has a tumor and I am trying to get excited for the shows but I am so sad and feel guilty about getting ready to hit the road for the shows when I have a sick pet. I have not been on the FB pages for weeks and I feel so out of touch with all the new songs and lyrics, I've just been too sad to enjoy them.

then I swing by and check this thread.

and I find myself smiling.

thanks to all who male it so nice. I needed to smile today.

The rest of you ladies are funny!! I guess I'm just weird like this, but I live the live songs.. Lightning Bolt is abut corny to me, lyrically.. But it's kinda growing on me! I think getting introduced to it live helped a lot! Anyhow, if it were you ladies he was writing about, you'd be swooning! I think that's what is the cutest part! Anyhow thanks for the smile ladies!! You Colorado people come to my listening party in October!!

kc007 - I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. That is such a hard thing to have to deal with. Come back and stay awhile as often as you need too.

And PJForceofNature, I feel exactly the same way about Sirens. I find it playing in my head many times a day. And sorry Emma about giving you crap. :oops: :shifty: Truly, just kidding. We all have different life experiences and maybe this song doesn't resonate with you yet. But I bet it will some day. Having been through the deaths of several close family members, and having cared for terminal cancer patients makes the lines, "It’s a fragile thing, this life we lead, if I think too much, I can get overwhelmed by the grace by which we live our lives with death over our shoulders," very poignant indeed.

Very very true!! I have decided I want this played at my funeral as a reminder to my loved ones, to make things count in their lives.. Cause it is very fragile, and very short!
