In those blue shirt Bridge photos, you can see the safety pin holding his shirt closed (awww...he's modest!)...when I saw that, for some reason, I shrieked at the person sitting next to me "Look at the safety pin! That's so sweet!" 6th row, not sure if he heard me. I was pretty loud...

Yeah..those were some fun times...just about passed out when they did Thin Air...instead, I just wilted...

jesus! that's not fair! that made me like him even more! Safety pin?
    That's our man, modest!
See, others would argue that this shows lack of fashion sense, but we understand the deeper reason behind the safety pin...

y'know, i reckon if ed knew or cared about this thread - which of course he doesn't, but if he DID - then he would probably be quietly pleased that so many of these 'hot' pics are from the very recent past - that is, it's not all baby-faced 1991 eddie pics, but loads of jesus-beard 2006 ed pics. not bad for 40-something!

Well, you know, men are lucky, they stay hot longer than women.

    A little grey?
    Hot.

    A few wrinkles?
    *sigh*
    It's not a problem. ;)

i think that depends on the man! i have friends who were gorgeous in their 20s but just look kinda tired and worn out in their 40's. the trick is to keep living! and in ed's case, keep surfing. and rocking. sigh, indeed.

Yeah it's funny how grey hair and wrinkles on a woman means old bag .. but when they're on a man it means wise and distinguished.

Ed has always had those frown lines between his eyes .. they're just a bit deeper now and I can't see any grey in his hair yet.

    Okay, someone's gotta mention this...

he's holding on to one seriously hairy hand.

    'nuff said.

But what others said...multiple reactions, from ...???..., to ...!!!!..., to ...yikes...

And everyone be quiet about men getting better looking when they age, but women don't. No, no, no. Society (run by men) thinks men become distinguished when older but they prize unformed teenage girls. Older women aren't supposed to be attractive.

Pity, because we really like sex AND we know what we're doing.

    Maybe it's an extra microphone??

But seriously, man, wear a guitar!

I've heard other performers compare the rush of being onstage to that of sex, so I fully expect some wood onstage. It's not like he peed his pants, like other musicians do...
