    Hi all

couldnt remember reading anything about this, but whoever wins the auction, is the purchase tax deductible?
Stars walk the red carpet because they're famous - I walk the toilet paper because im the shit.
  • Auctions are not tax deductable. but hey we might be able to do somthing to get around that. not sure but we can have a look

One of my girlfriends wanted to organize a pass round the hat amongst my friends and get it for me for my unmentionable birthday next year! :D:o

But yeah, a syndicate would have been the way to go! :)
Now we'll just have to find a way to ingratiate ourselves with the buyer! ;)

  • Guess what, Ive got the board back.
I delivered it to a young bloke a few weeks back. ( have had a rest in regards to board after workin hard to promote the auction)
Anyways my wife and Lizzie had a suprise for me today at lunch so I took a break from work for 2 hours.
I was driven to a shopping centre. I was taken to a surfshop The Bank Surf Co the owner had originaly offered to give me a wetsuit to go with board at the auction. I thought I had talked him around to another option of donating to our annual ball. Aparently NOT
Remember how strange it was that the buyer had came from victoria but I delivered it localy. Well the victorian was QUIKSILVER and the local was a Quiksilver Rep.And they want to help. He gave me back the board today
They are going to get their riders to sign it. Then sell it to other surf companys like Ripcurl, Billabong etc. getting each team to sign it and then sell it again to the next team. ALL THE WHILE HELPING CFNSW AND OUR CLINIC.
We got our photos taken for the Local paper and there will be a story on monday.
    its bloody crazy
    Thanks again all

  • Dont have all the specifics of how this will run.
The basics thing is That Quiksilver bought it for $1500 . they will get their team to sign and then sell it at a minimum of what they paid.
So Ripcurl ( for example) will start biddng at that price and say they get it for $4000 they will get their team to sign and start the price at a minimum of $4000
and on and on it will go
Im thinking of maybe instead of being state specific ( ie CFNSW ) I will give to the broader network of CFAUS
