Forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in. - Leonard Cohen
last night at the baseball game eddie was wearing a jacket for "surfers healing" the fans there said his name was even embroidered on it...anyway it is a foundation that benefits autistic children... we can add them right in there with it...
yes i agree this poetry room is reminiscent of rokkin with dokken
i must say that i been tryin to read a little each time but i just
found today that theres more pages than i thought for me to read , anyway you could freeze this room for say as long as it takes me to get the motivation to paste all these poems into my album, should take only a couple of hours
I know Radar was, I'll keep tabs by email as I'm sure some of you are.
We've got enough stuff for a few volumes, which I think would be cool. PJ Poetry Press vols 1-3. LOL it would look good and I think be fairly popular. We need some PR. Who's got PR skeelz?
I'm stepping in front of the gushing hydrant in a hurricane. I'd like to see the traction I keep.
See, that's how Radar did it but, in my opinion, his stuff isn't getting read as much as it should be because iuniverse doesn't help whatsoever with PR and marketing.
It will probably be the best way to go, though, especially if we advertise it here. One major issue is this: if the book is to be for charity, it has to be sold through a major publications distributor, otherwise it is nearly impossible to keep up with as far as numbers are concerned (they have people for that sort of thing) and they would still need their part of the profits. This is the reason why very few books are sold for charity... after all the money has been taken from the profits made by all those involved with creating, publishing and vending the book, there really isn't anything left.
Only Stephen King could pull it off due to his reader following.
BUT I will admit that Radar's book looked nice and of course his stuff was excellent and would have stood on its own in a book made of linen.
How many pieces should we place together in one volume? 50? 75? I think it would be cool to have more than one volume, a series done by the PJ Poetry Press. And I really think more than just fans would go for it. I think we have a lot of good stuff here and putting it together in a few volumes could really make a statement or so.
I don't know. LOL. Just ramblin' on...
