    Some Great points here!
I don't even know or ever met any girls that even like Pearl Jam casually, nevermind love them as much as I do. At this point, Id almost be happy meeting a girl that at least likes rock n' roll. Most girls that i have dated had terrible taste in music. I've giving up hope of even meeting a great chick in my area. They dont exist.

dude you are looking in the wrong spot. Give us some credit, there's lots of ladies with great taste in music, just look at these boards!

Of course the ladies here have great taste in music...unfortunately, in the big picture, you are a total minority...
If you make compatible taste in music a deal-breaking relationship requirement, it's pretty slim pickins. At least in my demographic, with my musical tastes...
I keep wanting to downplay the significance of similar tastes...it's not a deal-breaker for me...but then I imagine those hours-long road trips with my ex - a part time country music fan. They were hell.

    And.....
i hate girls that like "a lil bit of everything" which basically translates to "i dont like to make decisions and I really don't care"

or girls that listen to country music....never dating that kinda girl AGAIN (unless she has beer-flavored nipples then im going to keith urban every summer)

I actually have been putting my musical tastes in my dating website profiles. As it's been said here it really IS hard to find a woman with compatible musical tastes. I honestly weight it in somewhere behind Politics and Religious background in level of importance to me! Mainly because I don't want to be trapped in a car for HOURS AND HOURS listening to TERRIBLE music on a road trip and have to fight back the urge to jump out of a moving vehicle because what's been playing on the radio has been driving me INSANE! I also don't want to be the guy dragging the "disinterested girlfriend" to a concert so she can stair at the floor and sulk or text message the entire concert while I'm rocking the fuck out and having the time of my life! I'll never forget this couple next to me at a Tool concert where the guy was having a blast, and his bitchy looking preppy girlfriend was crossing her arms the whole time and looking PISSED the entire show!

Like Yellow Bedwetter said, "a little bit of everything" means they have no strong musical opinion and are likely to be happy listening to whatever bubblegum flavor of the moment pop music is on the radio, and they LOVE watching American Idol! Not to mention I'm sure I'd hear "turn this crap off! It's depressing me!" about the majority of my music! :?

For as much as I LOVE music, I can't imagine dating someone who's taste in music drives me crazy, and would have absolutely no interest in going to concerts with me.
    I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind - E.V.

Just say something nice about single mothers, and one will be knocking on your door tonight. Apparently they're very pleasing and good in bed. At least that's what Metsfan says.

I tried dating a single Mom once...then she pulled out her music collection of Kid Rock, Papa Roach, and Hinder. Needless to say, it ended almost immediately thereafter. How can a parent subject their innocent child to such awfulness. Irresponsible if you ask me.

I was in Subway the other day and mentioned to the worker that Pearl Jam is my favorite band.

This weird guy behind me turned his head with wide eyes and said, "That's so hot."

I must have looked disgusted, but the conversation pursued until I asked him his favorite album.

He said, "I only know of Ten."

I laughed, took my sandwich and walked out.
    Well, fuckers, he still stands.

Not at all. It means that I have no need to subject myself to providing multiple pictures to someone I don't know on an internet forum in order for them to decide whether or not they "love" me.:lol::lol:

Marcos, thank you for your kind words; aren't PJ fans the best?

This thread reminds me of something Ed said at one of the shows about the band bringing people together.
Something along the lines of him meeting a couple that met at a show, got married, and had kids named Mike, Matt, Stone and Jeff. And that they were probably "humping" right now to make a little Eddie.:lol:

msg 2 03- Upon returning for the first encore, Ed starts reading signs in the crowd. “Garden, yes we’re in the garden. That’s good … This one says ‘play Leash you pussies’. You know, there’s fucking children here, you know. You fucking cocksucking motherfucker asshole prick!” He mentions the fan club support and that last night there were 7,000 and tonight there are 8,000 fan club tickets represented. He thanks the fans and mentions hearing how fans have met via shows and become friends or lovers. He jokes how a couple (“I think they’re from Jersey”) met, married and is trying to have five kids to name them after the band. “So far they have Jeff, Stone and Mike and they’re fucking right now trying to get a little Eddie. And if they get to Boom … we’re just gonna keep adding band members. We’ll have a horn section … that’s evolution, baby.” Ed starts to introduce ‘All or None’ but Mike goes into the first riff of “Glorified G” and they play that first. A heartfelt ‘All Or None’ leads to an incredible ‘Alive.’ As soon as Mike hits the solo, the entire arena begins the fist pump, simultaneously yelling “yeah” for the duration of the song. Ed scans the entire Garden in awe.

Female, Seattle, 47 but feel 27.......

Well my long time relationship of 13 years was always Phish Vs. Pearl Jam. He was and still is a Phish head and more power to him, but he never understood Pearl Jam at all even though he was a drummer. He never listened to lyrics. In fact, that was the last thing he cared about in a song.

I found that to be normal if your a drummer, your probably always listening to the grooves over the story.

I'm a lyrical girl myself. Spent from 92-2000 making up my own lyrics to songs where Ed mumbles. Thus why my ex called him "mumbler." Although he never bitched about the great seats I get through my low member number.

I wonder, has anyone really hooked up on this thread? I have not read much of what is going on but I find it's very hard to meet fans in Seattle. It's like the Seattle "freeze"....people are nice but they don't let you into their circles easily. I guess that's because I'm from the midwest where almost everyone you meet will tell you their life story within 15 minutes of meeting. Oh well..I must admit I had more friends when I lived in Indiana than the 9 years I have been here.

I would love to hear some stories about people finding others on this thread. :!:
