Why not tentatively schedule a meetup on Friday afternoon around 1pm at the main fountain in Centeroo?

Or someone else pick a place time.

This is what this thread "needs" ;)

OK. So who's going to officialize the symbol for the flags?

This one seems like it would transfer well and be bold enough to be spotted, especially if the skull remained red on a black field.

  • ya that skull looks good, we could probably put up a flag aswell. And pancakes is a great idea...
now i have a question... does the music start on the thursday or the friday? We were planning on leaving on the wednesday, so i don't wanna get there too far ahead of when it opens. Unless ofcourse there is a pre-party.

unfortunately, as fun as it would be, i'm not takin a road trip but rather flying. i can't put the mileage on my car since it's a lease and my brother really doesn't wanna drive down there. plus, we're getting tickets that are decently priced for airfare. one of these days though if i go to bonnaroo, i'd like to experience it to the max with a road trip with some buddies. irregardless, i plan on making the best of the experience by meetin some cool peeps at the show.

I should be able to make this, and it;d be great to meet more people! One of my friends has to check the dates, and my other friend in Chicago is real close to going, his gf loves metallica and one of his friends wants to go so my chances look pretty good!
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

  • Bonnaroo has the "Brooer's Tent" that has microbreweries from all over the country doing samples of their beer. It's a big tent and is air conditioned, we could easily take the place over for an hour or so. So why don't we meet at the Brooer's Tent Friday at 1:00?

Best thing is beer is Peta Friendly so everyone will be happy...

So as to include those that are not 21, (as much as this one strikes me as a hell of an idea :)), i say that FoxyMop's idea of the main fountain seems sufficient for a central meeting place. We can, however, make our way to the beer tent at a later point if the mood strikes us.

After some banter last night, I decided to create a few mock-ups for Message Pit members. I feel that any of these flags could be constructed without a huge amount of artistic know-how (basic sewing knowledge, trace the enlarged images, clean lettering, etc).

Just curious which one you Bonnaroo-goers feel is most recognizable. I'd be open to other graphics and ideas, too. These are just the first few that came to mind. They are drawn in a 3x5 scale and use a fairly minimum number of colors:

    1)black field w/ red skull
Red effects with white outlines will really jump off the black field.

    2)inspired by self-titled album
Avocado is obviously PJ, but Message Pit points us to each other (posters/10C members).

3)Love Boat Captain symbol on red and white field
Resembles the Canadian national flag, but doesn't say "Pearl Jam" to everyone. It's a bit of an insider-look.

4)another LBC, but with a twist
Not as Canadian as before, but LBC may be the appropriate symbol for a festival gig (Roskilde) in Tennessee (Elvis). Again, not obvious to the average Joe but certainly to the PJ fan.
