I was looking for a "PETA People" are freaks kind of argument from you! Don't wimp out on me now! I soooo want to meet you at 'roo! I won't gang up on you. You are - in such a weird way - my new friend. Hello!
When we meet at Bonnaroo - you can take the side of my husband (complete "meat eater"....that I HATE!) It'll be fun. We are still going to meet at "Roo" - correct. I work from home. I don't have any real friends. (Theyve all moved away!) Sad is me. C'mon.

but that post by rose really threw me for a loop.....because i have no idea where it is coming from....
Me neither. That's why i was wondering if it was a joke. I am so keen to meet up and say hey to some of the insanely cool people that post here. Will be great to say hello, but i can give you a big fat hint, that i won't be judging them if they are 'eating murdered animals', using their generators and 'damaging the enviroment', or 'doing drugs'. It's their life. And i'm sure as hell not going to be pushing my views onto anyone there. It's not like i am going to have to make a life with any of you so my care factor will be zip as to what your beliefs are. I'm going to a music festival to see my favorite band, if i wanna be preached to i'll ask thankyou.
  • Okay...once again....how will we recognize the "PJ" fans. Huge banner....Flag.....what? I've already been down this burnt-out road before. Let us know.

Just kidding.......in any event, i'd be glad to make up a sign and put it on the ol tent once it's agreed upon regarding a central meeting place. that way at the meeting place i can tell ya'll where my tent is located and ya can find it a bit easier. if anyone has a small grill that'd be super-sweet since i don't think i'll have the room since i'm goin on a plane.

i'll be bringing a small grill thing that we always use when we go camping... do you guys know if there is a grocery store near by that we could stop at to buy some food before we go in.

hmmmm, not really too sure since this is my first time going. there is a general store in centeroo, but i've heard it's fairly pricey.

pretty sweet that you're coming from toronto, that's quite a trek by car!

bonnaroo!?! i wish i didnt live so far away from it. then i'd go. that's the one festival every year that has the best line-up.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

ya i was hoping to get to a grocery store before we enter so that i can save some cash, also wanted to grab water and alcohol before i went in.

Ya it's crazy that i'm going this year. Usually my friends would not think of this, but a friend actually came to me and asked if I'd go and i was shocked. Then I told another friend about it (his favourite band is metallica) and he's coming now.

I heard it's a dry county, so buy your alcohol long before you get to the venue.

  • Sir Speedy -
Thought about just getting off of this entire "Mesage Board" thing- and returning to my "I love Pearl Jam Annonymous" thing once again. Spoke to another "MEGA" PJ fan.....via email. This thing between us is "stupid." You need to just continue to be just be you. Everyone seems to appreciate - your ....humor.....and other times.... not so much. (Watch yourself on the Southern Thread)! Apparently, these people....seem to like you just fine. Apparently - I am the "odd man odd" - being the Vegan-freak - but I'm quite used to that. And sometimes (hopefully not that often) I will interject....but will try my best to do it in a more constuctive way in the future. YOU have the seniority here. I am a newby. Hope I didn't "run" you away....or offend you too badly. I am making a public "apology" to you. Not very comfortable....and not very used to doing this. C'mon.....friends?

And this thread is about meeting at Bonnaroo. Still interested. I'm going to Lukinfan on My Space to do this. Looking forward to meeting/seeing you all there!

Late to the thread, but count my wife and me in for a weekend of meeting and greeting PJ fans.

We could have a huge pancake breakfast with everybody on Saturday morning. Need to pack some extra propane for the stove, though. ;)

I honestly am trying the "Hey let's all meet up at Bonnaroo.................somewhere" thing ....while they all get "higher")....thread......and that didn't seem to "pan out" real well for "us" personally.

Sure, my husband and I drink....but we are NOT "into" shrooms, or heroin, or crack/cocain, nor prescription medication that has a "street value." No sorries....no judgements.....but just isn't what we are personally about.....but live and let live...I guess. We are "into "concrete" planning" these days. We are now older. Whatever. Don't have time for things like that.

Not to judge...even with your sarcastic humor and all....we are NOT "into" illegal drugs or "pyschtroropic" medications. NOT for US. Others can do what they want. To each his own. No "body painting" or last minute "piercings" for us! Judge as everyone will no doubt. Water off of our backs.

Right now we're all figuring out if we're actually going! :) As for fundraising, Roo has their own organizations and volunteer programs to support, so we of course acquiesce to them!

But in a mass festival type situation the best thing to do, IMO, is have meetup times/places and back that up with a cell phone circle so people can stay in contact.

Camden was awesome because Joe? Mike? Fanch? Someone made a kick ass flag and hyped up the PJ tent it was relatively easy to find. For Roo, can't really be anyone in the VIP area, because only VIP people can get in/out

If I go, I'm definitely down to help out, help plan, whatever... :)

If I knew I was definitely going, I'm take the initiative and set a time/place, and see who showed, but alas... nothing definite for me yet! :)

If I do end up going, and RVing it, I'm gonna get a bigass piece of fabric from Joanne's and make a PJ skull or surfboard flag for our RV :)

p.s. what's with all the weirdness and "quotes". It feels like that weird "coffee" commercial where people are making the quote gesture with their fingers... LOL

Rose, I'm not paying much attention to whatever you seem to be apologizing here. But I just want you to know my wife and I look forward to meeting you and your husband at Bonnaroo. It will be fun to meet other PJ fans from nearby (we're in Tallahassee).

We're just excited to be seeing PJ and hanging with people who feel the same way.

    Cheers!
