My friend asked the same question. Then he proceeded to get 4 of us together, purchase tickets for the December 17th show at MSG and rent a limo to and from NYC. I am not a hug Oasis fan but I believe I'll enjoy it. The 3 other I'm going with are as bad as me when it come to Pearl Jam. This would be something I'd do with PJ in a heartbeat so I know where they're coming from.
Record breaking Oasis add Coventry show to 2009 tour
Oasis have revealed that their UK and Irish stadium tour has broken box office records - and they've added yet another date for summer 2009.
The band will now play Coventry's Ricoh Arena Stadium with support from hometown boys The Enemy on July 7.
Tickets for that show go on sale at 9am on October 30.
Sunderland, Edinburgh and Dublin are now also sold out, along with the original two nights at Manchester's Heaton Park and London's Wembley Stadium, which reached capacity earlier this afternoon.
Oasis have since added third nights in Manchester (June 4) and London (July 9) at the same venues.
With tickets going on sale at 10am (BST) this morning (October 24), the band had sold half a million tickets by 3pm.
Oasis co-promoter Chris York of SJM Concerts speculated that "this has to be the most tickets ever sold by an artist in the UK in one day".
A spokesperson for the band added: "This proves Oasis continue to go from strength to strength and increase in popularity. Following their fantastically received arena tour this autumn and critically acclaimed new album, these will be the must-see shows of 2009."
The full Oasis tour is now:
Manchester Heaton Park (June 4, 6, 7)
Sunderland Stadium Of Light (10)
Cardiff Millennium Stadium (12)
Edinburgh Murrayfield Stadium (17)
Dublin Slane Castle (20)
Coventry Ricoh Arena Stadium (July 7)
London Wembley Stadium (9, 11, 12)

We are pleased to announce that the Oasis concert at the Eden Project has now been rescheduled to Tuesday July 14th 2009. All tickets for the original date will remain valid for the rescheduled event.

I'm so freakin excited! I saw them back in Seattle in August, and now in Bruxelles! Jan 13th. I have no words to describe seeing them twice in just a few months. AH!
Don't let the world bring you down, not everyone here is that fucked up and cold. Remember why you came and while you're alive, experience the warmth before you grow old.
Best two days of my life: Oasis at MSG and Pearl Jam at the Gorge.
After my first oasis experience in 2000 here in Hungary I am seeing them again in Vienna (Stadthalle) in February 2009. There are still some hundred tickets available...

I saw Oasis last night at Staples Center in Los Angeles. I was in the 8th row, on the aisle with a perfect view of the stage.
The show was pretty badass! The guys sounded great and the crowd was pretty into it. Highlights for me were Rock N Roll Star, Lyla, Songbird, Champagne Supernova, and the song of the night -- Don't Look Back in Anger. Beautiful rendition and a total crowd singalong.
I am the Walrus to close was pretty cool too.
Liam was actually in a pretty good mood. Very cool moment: there was a chubby black kid on the aisle right next to me who clearly was a superfan. Totally goofy looking dude (of the special needs variety, it was clear) who was sweating like a madman from the first song. Anyway, Liam noticed him (he kind of stood out among the crowd, haha) and made it a point to toss him his tambourine at the end of the show. Then the kid threw a magazine and a marker on stage and Liam actually signed it and tossed it back. The joy on the kid's face was PRICELESS!
