Are there any fans of Muse on the board? I absolutely love them..seen them quite a few times since the late 90's. Wonder if the US will ever truely catch on. The last time I saw them they sold out MSG..hopefully thats a sign of more success to come.

I recently discovered them after a bunch of people on the Bonnaroo forums were talking about how amazing they would be at Bonnaroo. I now own all of their music and the Live at Wembley DVD and I am totally obsessed by them :P

I am praying for them to come somewhere near TN or hopefully Bonnaroo next year!

    Awesome band.
  • I was just thinking about posting a thread about them yesterday. I was listening to "Black Holes and Revelations" in the car yesterday and it just kicks so much ass.

I saw them at Lolla two years ago and it was the first exposure to them for me and they just blew me away.

    Great band.

See, I like Muse...but Matt Bellamy oversings just about every one of his songs...that may be the point, but I think if he could stop trying to be Freddy Mercury for one second, the music would come better for it (and not sound as ridiculous in places)...that said, I do like Map of the Problematique and Supermassive Black Hole...and I like the whole sci-fi thing they got going on...

Really, put Radiohead and Queen in a blender and you've got Muse.

I'm a fan, but only really got into them recently. I'm kicking myself for not seeing them at Lollapalooza last year.

The first few times I heard some of their songs I actually thought maybe it was Radiohead, so I do - only some of their stuff though.

I heard they might be releasing a single a month and then releasing the album as a compilation of the singles from the year..I think its an interesting idea..releasing songs as they are finished instead of making you wait for a full album

LOVE Muse! They're my 2nd favorite band at the moment. Saw them at Lolla then a week later at the Agganis Arena in Boston, both great shows :) I was hoping they'd be at Voodoo this year seeing they seem to be doing one off shows in various countries but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen. Maybe next year.

I like them a lot :) My favorite album is Absolution..They aren't too popular where I live though.

  • Muse are great, Origin Of Symmetry is my favourite album. Their live shows have always disappointed me though, the setlists rarely vary and 70% of the songs they played in the 3 times I saw them were the same. It's odd, I feel like I've "grown out" of them in a way; I used to be obsessed with them 4 years or so ago.

I have Origin of Symmetry and Black Holes & Revelations. I don't like either THAT much. I think they are OK... maybe it just hasn't caught on yet. But I find the singers voice pretty annoying and he is obnoxious.

I saw them last year at the Austin City Limits fest, I had never heard anything by them so I decided to check them out. I was impressed, they put on a really cool live show and the songs had a lot of energy. I also listened to 'Black Holes and Revelations' and there were several songs on there that I enjoyed. So yeah, they're pretty good.

muse were great until they started playing arenas and lost their edge on the last record, a record of pap purely for the radio...

stockholm syndrome however is one hell of a tune....one any band would be very very proud of

to say they havent caught on is pretty far off... atleast amongst my circle of friends... if anything i think theyre overrated... i liked their live show alot but their recorded stuff is very hit or miss IMO... and i love classical music, but the whole prog-rock/classical piano fusion thing is not for me

HAARP - Live at Wembley? It is amazing. The cinematography on the video is beautiful and the band sounds awesome. It is a DVD and CD - well worth the price imo.

I kind of agree. I bought their latest record kind of based on alot of the hype about this band but left feeling decidely "meh" about them. It not bad by any means, but just sounded very overproduced and too processed or something.

Get Hullabaloo over the Wembley one. Better setlist and performance.
