Post a decent band from your hometown, city, county. It doesn't matter if they new or old, but try and go for someone that's not that well known so we can hear some stuff that's not really mainstream, I could have gone for the Beatles!!

I was born and raised in Kansas City. Although no cool rockers hail from there (that I know of), there are three legendary musicians, two of which are jazz musicians.

Pat Metheny - I actually used to live next door to his parents - they were the greatest! We'd go out to the lake with them on their "pontoon boat" now and then and we actually met Pat and his then girlfriend Robin. Both were super cool with us. Robin was the co-host of "Good Morning America" for the summer of 1983, if I remember right. Pat is a wicked jazz guitarist and probably has more Grammy's than just about anyone.

Charlie "Bird" Parker - Legendary jazz sax man.
