  • Cutting Crew 'I Just Died In Your Arms'...ah, young love, slow dancing to this at High School dances. Then puking behind the bleachers from too much Bacardi and Coke. HAHAHAHAHAHA
And I'm not living this life without you, I'm selfish and clear
And you're not leaving here without me, I don't wanna be without

then I vote for Bitter Sweet Symphony although THE VERVE are one the most underrated alternative/rock bands EVER!!!
Thank God they returned this year!!!
It actually got to number two in the charts and the "drugs don't work" got to number one so yet again not a one hit wonder

Maybe in Ireland or wherever the Republic of Tallow is. But here in the US of A I'm pretty sure Eileen was their only hit. I'll have to look that one up.

Simple Minds was really big here in Europe but I am sure there are still many fans nowadays. SAME WITH A-HA!!! (They have never been one hit wonders!)

But in the U.S. bands like Travis, Texas or The Cardigans were one hit wonders as well however they were/have been pretty big on the old continent with many many hits!

That's the beauty of being in Oz. We get the best of Europe as well as the best of the US, not to mention a thriving music industry of our own. :)

Man I haven't thought of Texas in YEARS!!! I LOVED THAT SONG!!! :D

I'd have to say that Texas was a one hit wonder here in Oz as were The Cardigans and A-Ha really, but Travis did ok I think. I'm pretty sure they had more than one hit. And Simple Minds were HUGE!! :D

cmon now, you know to the rest of the world aussies don't matter ; )

haha! Typical!! :p But sooo true! :D

no one around here knows who silverchair is either. they're a one-hit wonder to most americans as well.

Yeah, I find it ironic some of the bands that did make it big in the US, like AIR SUPPLY for instance!!!

But then I find Americans to be mostly oblivious to the rest of the world anyway, less of course they're planning to bomb them! :p (that's a joke folks so don't get your knickers in a twist! ;) )
    NOPE!!!

    The Oneders...I mean, The Wonders

Actually, wouldn't The Greatful Dead be a one hit wonder if being judged by mainstream success of "Touch of Grey"

You can add "Only Time Will Tell", "The Smile has Left Your Eyes", "Sole Survivor" and "Don't Cry" to their hit list. :D
