Ok, here is another which one do you like better? Who's performance is better? Is this tough, or a NO BRAINER? Does the fact that Nirvana played so many covers make a difference to you? Which one do you like better?

    not that tough.

    AIC

  • Nirvana no question. "Where did you sleep last night" I rest my case.

  • Uhhhhhhhh.........Alice in Chains. By like, 9 million miles. "Over Now" I rest my case. From "Sludge Factory" to "Got Me Wrong" to the almighty "Nutshell," AIC's uplugged is epic.

And, I think the fact that AIC did all originals is a testament to how diverse the band was. Even some of their heavier stuff came across great in the unplugged setting. Any band can sit around and play their favorite covers. Not that it isn't good, it's just not that impressive.

You know, I really enjoyed Nirvana and even all the covers, but I think I would have preferred to here more originals. I like your points here. It' still a tough call for me, but I think I need to go with AIC, MAYBE!!!

if we're talking about best song b/t the 2 I'd have to go with pennyroyal tea. But for overall performance, AIC wins, for me.

IMO the AIC Unplugged isnt even in the same league as Nirvana's......Nirvana Unplugged is classic, AIC was completely forgettable

To be honest, I don't really like Nirvana, but their Unplugged performance was really awesome.

That being said, so was AIC's, which I like better.

Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots = best unplugged shows ever. Nirvana was good, but against those 2, no competition.

Sorry, didn't mean to steal your thread, I have just been listening to a lot of AIC lately and thought it would make a good discussion.
