Perfect albums

An office conversation yesterday got everyone doing some serious thinking.

What albums do you believe are truly PERFECT? Quite simply, albums that contain nothing but great songs, not one single bum track.

Please add your suggestions and, if you feel you can justify it, please fell free to disagree with people's suggestions.

I vote for:
Siamese Dream - Smashing Pumpkins
Gentlemen - Afghan Whigs
“Do not postpone happiness”
(Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
(Tim Rogers)

I really wanted to include 'Ten' but I thought I'd try to pick non-PJ albums. Now that you've said it first...

Also great. But not quite "perfect." Although I just looked at my iTunes play counts and the ridiculous number of plays for Lucky would seem to argue against that.

I take "perfect album" to mean any album where I would not skip a track and album that does not decrease in value over repeated listens across the years. With that in mind, here are mine:

Southern Harmony and Musical Companion - The Black Crowes
    The Band - self-titled
    Foxtrot - Genesis
Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy - Elton John
    Vs. - PJ
OK Computer - even Fitter Happier, it fits in nicely with the overall vision of the album
    The Bends - Radiohead
Tonight's the Night - Neil Young
    Who's Next - The Who
    Hot Rats - Frank Zappa
Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

Albums that almost make the cut, but miss it by one song:

    Ten - Jeremy
Madman Across the Water - All the Nasties
Led Zeppelin I - You Shook Me
Led Zeppelin II - Moby Dick
Led Zeppelin III - Hats Off (To Roy Harper)
Led Zeppelin IV - Stairway to Heaven
    Houses of the Holy - D'yer M'ker
Dark Side of the Moon - Great Gig in the Sky
    Harvest - There's a World

I'm sure that there are more, I just can't think of any right now...

Even the greatest albums can decrease in value over time if they are played too much. I think this is because, when you listen to an album and you love it, you go into it the next time expecting something amazing. When you repeatedly come away from listening to the album with a great feeling, then you elevate that album higher and higher, until it reaches the rank of "perfect." Eventually, when you listen to the album, you are going to come away disappointed, because you expect so much, but you have heard it so many times that it just doesn't deliver. Unfortunately the only way to get past this is to let time pass without listening to the album, and then your next listen will remind you why you thought the album was so great in the first place.
