Just out of curiosity, are there any albums you bought this year that you didn't end up liking? I have a friend who's the same way about movies. Every movie he decides to watch, he loves.

R.E.M.'s Accelerate. Very hyped about this record for a long time and it proved to be a winner.

But I guess I'll have to give the edge to Goldfrapp - Seventh Tree since she has the best album cover. I mean just look at her.

    Agreed! :)

I'm the same way. I pretty much know that I will like a movie before I go and see it. Very RARELY (Indiana Jones IV...dammit...) am I ever surprised by not liking something I decided to go see. I have a very good radar about what I like and what I don't. It then just ends up being a matter of "how much" I like something.

It's the same way with music. If it is by an artist I don't know of, all I have to do is read a handful of reviews to get a description of their music and I pretty much usually know that I will like it to some degree at least.
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?
