I was laughing my ass off when the singer kept going 'He took her to a movie' after every single line of one of the songs. And she was speaking into a stupid voice changer that made her sound like a pretentiously 'scary' ghost-like figure. Now 'that' is trying too hard.

Plus every single chord structure and musical part was extremely predictable. Electronica by numbers.

I remember that song well, one of my favourites!!! I can't believe there were five of them with keyboards, and they still sounded boring!

come on you guys, ladytron is not bad at all!!!
stood at the top of the hill over my town i was found. finding myself used to be hard but now i see the light. this is music.
  • Does anyone have 2 spare tickets for either of the Berlin gigs?

boy, did i pick the right night to see nin. opening with six of the first seven songs off the downward spiral, last and help me i'm in hell followed by eraser and reptile@ and they played dead souls too. absolutely amazing - one of the best concerts i have ever been to!

ladytron are one of the worst support bands i have ever seen. almost as bad as when atari teenage riot supported nin on the fragility tour. speaking gibberish into the mic over a load of electronic beeps is not entertaining.

NIN is one of the best live bands out there especially the current line up. the With Teeth tour was awesome all 3 shows I saw, and Trent is healthy and rocking out more than ever.

Ladytron were OK. Much better than the support in 05.

ATR's Live @ Brixton album from that show in '99 is the greatest live album EVER.

i thought both the dresden dolls and saul williams were excellent support acts.

i didn't know atari teenage riot released a live album from that gig at brixton! i'd love a copy of that just to scare the neighbours - 35 minutes of feedback and strange bleeps! fantastic!!

  • NIN live is another show you must see at least once.
You don't need to be in the front- I think it's more fun but you can enjoy the visuals from the cheap seats. NIN is the only other fan club I belong to besides PJ.
The 05 congress theatre show was simply amazing. The guy next to me caught the smashed guitar right in the chest and knocked him on the floor... very intense!
    Burn.

I'm going to see NIN live tonight in Brixton. Only thing is, I'm only a casual fan at best (I like what I've heard, but that's not much). I'm also fairly exhausted from a hard week at work. I'd rather be going out for dinner with my wife. I'm getting old. When I originally said yes to the ticket, I was excited. Now, I'm just 'yeah, OK, fine'.

What would you say to convince me I'll have a great time at the gig, despite making the tiring trip into London?

    i bet it sucked

Less than 3 weeks til the new album!!!

I am seriously more excited for this than I was for PJ's at this point last year.
The less you know, the more you believe.
  • I have no doubt NIN are more than worth seeing live, my friends seen them a few times now and absolutely loved every second of all their shows. We planned see them on this tour together, so, got tix to see 'em in Wolverhampton on the 12th March....

    .....they cancelled.....

..... at about 2pm, THAT afternoon....

    .....wankers.

Still, they're doing the gig on the 8th of August instead :)
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

Yeah it sucks that they cancelled, but it would have sucked even more if they had played and Trent's voice sounded shit.
