Yes, they do....yes, they do. Panther=extra cool points...the pigs, however, are not cool. They are non-native, and they have a very nasty habit of destroying native plants....for some reason they always seem to single out the rare ones.

The Dirty South....a natural place.

Is this because I said we were going to catch blue crabs and eat them?

I didn't mean to offend you (or anyone else), Rose. I have plenty of family and friends who are vegetarians and/or vegans. One aunt owned a veggie restaurant in Oxford, MS, for six years. I get where you're coming from.

If it disgusts you or bothers, I'll try not to bring it up any more. Sorry if I unknowingly riled you up. You'll probably be glad to know that we weren't really successful with the blue crab grab. Lots of rice, corn, and okra in our gumbo, but zero crab.

Thought you'd like to know that we saw a wild turkey in the north Florida wilderness. Plenty of pelicans, sandpipers, egrets, and other beach-y fowl. We had chance encounters with dune mice, horseshoe crabs, rascally squirrels, vultures, and a small turtle.

If you see Wild Turkey...that probably means that turkey hunting season is over...damn smart birds...why Ben Franklin wanted them as the national symbol...not that fish thief.

Be careful around the beach mice....several are critically endangered species.

yeah, that panther... been down here 25 years and it is only the 2nd time I have seen one... very exciting.

Didn't know about the pigs though... have seen some really huge ones in the wild...
