i think there should probably be some sort of meet-up for members of this thread in each city. whoever is local should pick an easy, cool spot and post it. brian(i'm just guessing he's ok with this) and i are happy to "host" for this area should it become necessary, and barkingdogs and rodrigodu (? in durham) will be there i'm sure....

but if there's only one, looks like atlanta is the central location, doesn't it?

ever heard the phrase "leap of faith"? i think we've collectively made one

If they do hit Tampa do you think it will be at the St.Pete Times Forum(Where they always play) or The newer Ford Ampitheater?

I just got home from work and wasn't able to check the board since lunch. Wow, what happy news! Ty I didn't notice any comments about the cities from you.... You and Daystar will at least make Atlanta won't you?

As for the other cities I'm really happy for you Floridians. I'll be making the trip down - hopefully for both shows. And I have a great friend in Richmond so I'm hoping they're playing the VA Beach Amphitheater - it's the greatest place for a concert - open air and right on the beach.

Anywya, thanks again JTR - you've made these past couple of weeks very exciting for all of us.....

I hope to catch them all. Planning on it.

We should have a pre-show party at each stop for this thread.

This is something I have been really curious about because in an earlier post by "The Man" (JTR) we sorta got info that Wallnut Creek was the place in Raleigh. Then in a later post hints that they want to avoid places like that (Live Nation). The as yet named venue has me very interested. I would (insert amazing physical deed) if PJ were to play a smaller place than The Creek. Has JJ said anything about where they might play?

I do not have venues, only cities and dates. I can (and have) only guessed Walnut Creek from 'being there in 00 and '03. I grew up in Durham and can't think of another suitable venue??

That's right. Once dates are announced you will have to let us know what hotel that was and what hotels are nearby.

Plan on it! I was checking the calendar for Phillips and Gwinett - the only two large venues - and both are wide open. As I said a while back, the hotels in downtown Atlanta are ridiculously priced, plus you'd have to cab it unless you were near a MARTA station. Buckhead is crazy expensive too. But here in middle class Atlanta, there's some reasonably priced stuff and MARTA - and the floor of my 2 bedroom apartment. I'll have all kinds of info for you guys depending on the venue. I'm betting it's Phillips - but I like Gwinett much better. We'll see.

I also want to check into designing T-shirts for the thread regulars.

    I'm so freaking excited!!!!!!!!

That sounds great! Sitting in a bar pre-show with a Tshirt designed by weenie, drinking some cold ones and meeting all the great people from here. Then of course seeing Pearl Jam in concert. It gives me chills.
