Just thinking about this, and I came to the conclusion that there aren't many good female musicians... :oS
I'm not really taken with Björk, I found her insanely boring when I saw her live. And there's no way she's underrated anyway..!
I'm not a fan of PJ Harvey really.
Beth Orton is ok, but she doesn't really inspire much either.
Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
What are your thoughts on Cat Power?
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"
I think Lucinda Williams should be HUGE. All of her albums are f'ing amazing from top to bottom. I know she gets lots of critical praise and does sell out most of her shows, but she should be on a much bigger level in my opinion.
