Whenever going to a Tool or Pearl Jam or similar show or seeing photos of the crowds online, it’s always striking how “we are getting older.”

Looking at these huge oasis crowds they’re apparently drawing younger fans. In an era where rock is clearly on decline. Where younger fans do not look to rock bands first to listen to music anymore, what oasis has accomplished in a complete stadium global sell out of tickets is impressive. But around here what matters is that they have the same set list every show.. or they got hit by a train lol. I wonder if they had a caste system for delivering tickets or they added a four minute white whale once a week, they would be appreciated  more in places like this.

I really like a few of their songs but as a collective they just don't do much for me....all kind of same tempo, lyrics not interesting, etc.

So bummed I didn't get tickets. Oasis meant and means so much to me. They captured a type of magic that I haven't felt up to that time, in the same way Pearl Jam does.

Yes, not every band is for everyone. It’s like a bubblegum fun for me, Maybe the Beatles connection is what drew me. What’s unique here is the size of crowds and difficulty of tix and apparently a youngish crowd in an era that is making Daltry’s 1970s declaration true. Rock seems to be dying.

I recall seeing them in 2000 at radio city, a 6k venue, co headlining with Black Crowes, they opened and there were far fewer of their fans at the show. I recall being way outnumbered. And this was years after their radio airplay declined. 25 years later, they could have sold out more stadiums than they did.

    and teske, lol…

Yup! They’re bigger than ever. First time I saw them in a sold out arena and I’ve been seeing them every tour. Always theaters or clubs unless they were co headlining. Looking forward to new music from them.

Actually…. New Deftones song dropping today!

Noticed that also. I saw them about ten years ago+ in a 1500 venue. Packed show but far cry from an arena. Good for them!

I just noticed they played two nights in Wales with the exact same setlist....

I’m pretty sure the setlist will be 100% the same for the entire Tour

not unusual but damn...back to back nights and they couldn't do something different?

Was hoping Lyla would have made the set list. Really dig that song.

That recording of slide away they just released is absolutely superb. Sounds fucking amazing.

All those who said Liam's voice had gone should take a listen. What a tune, and a what a performance.

Back to being seriously sad about not getting tickets and crossing my fingers they do the 30th anniversary shows at Knebworth next year.

whilst i appreciate its not a competition, Oasis blew that thing out of the water. No doubt in my mind.

The tiny amounts of time each band got and the incredibly lame crowd made it a tough one to watch even on the socials. It was almost like Metallica were playing master of puppets to a cricket crowd

They are cashing in on the big venues. It's not friendship that got them back out. It's the money. That said I might still see what the prices are for Met Life day of the show. They sound good, but I seem to sense Noel's indifference. Good to hear those songs played live again.
