Got my tickets for St. Augstine!  I've seen Primus once, opening for Tool, and they exceeded my expectations.

How are his other two bands that will be opening?  I'll need to give them a listen, but don't have a clue what to expect, but something weird sounding.

Frog Brigade is awesome. Historically they do a fair amount of Floyd covers so hoping that will be in the mix.

The way it is advertised is all playing at once.
So likely no opener. Just members popping in and out. I'd say Primus is the heavier, ffb more jammy. Lcd is beautiful psychedelic type. Sean lennon really adds that cool odd Beatles edge. You will love it and yes do some listening to the other stuff. Live Frogs is a great representation. All of it deserves some time. Look forward to hearing how you enjoy it.

I’m still trying to figure out if I want to do the tour opener, or tour closer. Leaning towards the first show of the tour, the last date is on the 4th of July. Decisions decisions

I've never heard of them before, but that sing is really good.

No worries. Took me a while to bite into them. Only record i have is 'South of Reality' and an ep. Dare i say it is pretty epic.
pick score from S Lennon's guitar tech after a show. Highly recommend this record

I'll have to check that album out.

I only see that they've made 2 albums and an EP?

Sounds correct. Sean Lennon, last tour, played with flying frogs brigade & pretty sure they played a song or 2 from CLD.
He is great too. Liked seeing him live. My bud hit me up about going to this tour and listening from the parking lot. Mayyyybbeee..

    Thread integrity.

Got tickets for this one. Super excited to see Primus again and Sean is a total badass guitar player. Got to see Frog Brigade with him a couple years ago where they played all of Pink Floyd's Animals. He nailed every single bit of it.

You get it! Truth. Will be great and hard for me to sit out. Will see.  I saw ffb the first time they played animals. Played a set, Les before encore break "i hope you all like pink floyd". Came back and worked their magic on animals. Late 90's maybe. Killer. So glad they brought it back again.
Really loved seeing Sean play. He is his own legend, but hard to stop thinking who his parents are.
Les and S are fun to watch together. Oddball funniness.

Agreed. They have a very good, on-stage dynamic.

Sean told the story behind the song "Bubbles" too. He was a kid when they were filming the Michael Jackson movie "Moonwalker". He had to keep quiet and stay out of the way while they worked so the adults put him in a room with Jackson's pet chimpanzee. The two of them played video games together. The chimp was named Bubbles.

    Perfectly normal childhood experience, right?

Well I not only listened to all of the Frog and CLD music, but did a major deep dive the last few days on all things Les Claypool.  As I type I've got Videoplasty playing.  As far as music, I just need to listen to his 2 solo albums.

Anyways, Frog Brigade is pretty cool, but the real gem out of all this is The CLD.  South of Reality especially is amazing.  I am looking forward to the show even more now!

    Sweet!
Some of the les claypool work can take a while to digest and get into. I'm pretty sure it's intentionally awkward.

Enjoy the ride and thanks for posting

The one LC track that stood out that I'll be adding to my top 3000 song list on my phone is Precipitation.  I'm also going through the whole Primus catalog a second time as I think I may have missed a few essentials (Here Comes The Bastards I skipped first time through for example).
