Hell yeah! Skunk Anansie were awesome, and Skin is just about the best live vocalist I've ever seen.

:( I never got to see them.

Skin has definately got some pipes on her :D
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

I could make a pretty long list here, but I'm just going to name my numero uno choice for "Women who rock."

    Shirley Manson from Garbage.

She's probably not on top of most peoples list, but I've seen this lady rock it live many, many times. Ive had the good fortune to throw back a few drinks with her. I can tell you with 100% conviction that this woman does indeed rock!

I agree, Bueninvento is her masterpiece. The new stuff to me is trash.

I know she has been mentioned , but

    Janis Joplin

    Stevie Nicks

    Pink

Plumb (band's name; not sure of the singer's name)

Hole (sorry; Courtney is so messed up I find her entertaining)

Britney Spears new song is a good one(Piece of Me); it's an ode to the press...(more of a f--k u to the press actually)

B-52's (two chicks in their that are cool)

oh and oh I have to go back and then come back here but Chadwick had an awesome band that he turned me on to....

    ok ok these chicks.....awesome

Yeah, that's understandable, but Lento, Oleada, Te Voy a Mostrar and Amores Perros are great songs. The two albums since Bueninvento have been poor and progressively shallower, but've brought her the success she deserved in the first place, more so than Guerra if you ask me.
  • There's a female poster from the gearheads section on this message board who rocks as hard as anyone i've witnessed. Her guitar skills are impressive and vocally she is awesome. PJ_Gurl, c'mon down.

Those that just come to mind............

Ann and Nancy Wilson could hang with the best of them.

    Stevie Nicks

    Ani Difranco

Now old school..........Janis Joplin & the incredible Joni Mitchell who could hold her own with a guitar as well! (same could be said of Ani)

I know there are so may more that don't come to mind right now.

    Imogen Heap..........

"A consistently good band works all the different elements well. A song has to appeal sentimentally, intellectually, physically, viscerally, and dig deep down into your soul and suck you into it. And after that, of course, it'd be a matter of taste." ~ Kim Thayil from Soundgarden
