Hell yeah! Skunk Anansie were awesome, and Skin is just about the best live vocalist I've ever seen.
:( I never got to see them.
Skin has definately got some pipes on her
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
I could make a pretty long list here, but I'm just going to name my numero uno choice for "Women who rock."
Shirley Manson from Garbage.
She's probably not on top of most peoples list, but I've seen this lady rock it live many, many times. Ive had the good fortune to throw back a few drinks with her. I can tell you with 100% conviction that this woman does indeed rock!
"Hello Oregonians. Hello Washingtonians. Hello Portland..where the fuck are we? We're in Ridgefield!"
also, the Julieta Venegas bueninvenido album is a fuckin' classic too, she's gone all poppy since, don't blame her though, unashamedley like those too! yay I'm pissed manneth, but me speakineth the truthned!!!!

I agree, Bueninvento is her masterpiece. The new stuff to me is trash.

Yeah, that's understandable, but Lento, Oleada, Te Voy a Mostrar and Amores Perros are great songs. The two albums since Bueninvento have been poor and progressively shallower, but've brought her the success she deserved in the first place, more so than Guerra if you ask me.
There's a female poster from the gearheads section on this message board who rocks as hard as anyone i've witnessed. Her guitar skills are impressive and vocally she is awesome. PJ_Gurl, c'mon down.

"A consistently good band works all the different elements well. A song has to appeal sentimentally, intellectually, physically, viscerally, and dig deep down into your soul and suck you into it. And after that, of course, it'd be a matter of taste." ~ Kim Thayil from Soundgarden
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"
The Donnas - music is retread, but the thought of seeing them rock on stage with those riffs excites me. lol
And the list ain't complete without these doozies
Wendy O. Williams (The Plasmatics)
Shirley Manson
Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill)
Exene Cervenka (X)

I was listening to Hole this morning, and was thinking to myself that I don't seem to have many female rock artists on my playlist these days. Besides Hole, but they're done, and The Kills, Dead Weather, not much else.
Dearly Beloved have a woman as co-lead singer.
I wish Melissa Auf der Maur would put out more music. I love her stuff.
