The new Pearl Jam
Devin Townsend Band - Synchestra
In Flames - Come Clarity
HOPEFULLY the new Tool album...
I don't think you have too much to worry about w/ Tool fulfilling your wishes -- I just recieved their new DVDs in the mail yesterday (Schism and Parabola videos) from Tool Army (a gigantic rip off compared to Ten Club) and each had a sticker on the shrink wrap saying to look for the new release in Spring of '06. I believe they have a live DVD set being released from the Lateralus tour as well next year.

Surprizingly not mentioned yet - The Who with Zak Starkey on the drums, Jimmy Page.

TOOL
Pearl Jam
and umm not to sure what else :P
The videos are pretty standard (you've prolly already seen before if you're a fan). You also get dual audio commentary -- meaning two seperate conversations are going on in each channel (I only ran it through my PowerBook so maybe it's different in 5.1) by the guest -- Jello Biafra for Parabola, and for the Schism video, David Yow. Anyway, I am personally not the biggest fan of music videos other than complete concerts...so maybe I'm not the best reference of opinion here. I do like the extendo remixes of each song...just simple de-constructed ambient stuff that's a little different. Stuff like that is sort of cool to have playing as you work. Both videos come in CD-sized digipaks that are standard art-fare you'd expect from this band. Prolly the coolest thing is the menu concepts on the Parabola set -- Alex Grey did it based on the Lateralus themes.
I like to collect their stuff because they are def my favorite band -- but overall, a very modest tide-over to get us to S/06 when the new music is released. Probably some more heavy, mathy stuff -- more Lateralus (just my assumption).
Belle & Sebastian
Muse
hopefully Arcade Fire
David Bowie
Cat Power
and theres so much others
So that is how I learned the lesson that everyone is alone. And your eyes must do some raining if you are ever going to grow. But when crying don't help and you can't compose yourself. It is best to compose a poem, an honest longing or simple song of hope.
That is why I'm singing
