The Shins is my #1 most anticipated by far, just can't wait for that. Followed by Radiohead and Pearl Jam which are on pretty much the same level. Others include The Strokes, Arcade Fire and RHCP.

Also I have heard Outkast has two albums waiting for release, I guess at least one will show up next year, that could be pretty good.

I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.

yeah new Dashboard would be cool

Finger Eleven should come out w/ a new one that will not make it as top 40 as their last CD did

I can't think of anything else right now

Does anyone but me remember the rainbow butt monkeys? They were good then too. I like finger 11. And I seriously think they need some good new music out. They put on a wicked live show.
Thanks harrison. Maybe you should take your beatbox down the street and eat some acid you silly pervert.

Also I wouldn't consider an album that has 5 tracks and 50 minutes of music a glorified EP, but that is just me.

i thought that's what you were implying with your explosions in the sky comment, so i was obviously wrong - sorry about that. do they have an EP or am i just missing the whole point of what you said?

well, they came out with a short 8 track EP this year entitled "The Rescue." It wasn't very good. Decent, but nothing interesting. Also, mail-order only so a lot of people didn't hear about it. That isn't the one I thought you were talking about, though

If it's anything like ST. Anger, I would rather stick a toothpick in between my toenail and toe and kick a wall. That album was fucking worse than Clay Aiken.

i haven't heard a single word about it until now, which is really weird because i'm constantly surfing the web for music, sports and movie news.

just curious, why in your opinion was it just decent?

Sounds like EitS on autopilot. Not nearly as explosive or involving as the others. The recording was rushed, by design. Each day they started a new song, and kept with whatever they had by the end of it. Interesting concept, and for one day compositions, they are quite good. Compared to the rest of their catalogue, it is really slow, and the quiet parts don't absorb you as much as they tend to drag on. Just my opinion, you might think different.

  • Pearl Jam
    RHCP
    Guster
    The Strokes

I didn't know there were new albums coming from the Flaming Lips, Radiohead, or Arcade Fire until I read this thread. Do we have any information on those?
  • Already mentioned by many - Pearl Jam, RHCP, The Strokes, Audioslave, Wilco.

Surprizingly not mentioned yet - The Who with Zak Starkey on the drums, Jimmy Page.
  • Pearl Jam
    Radiohead
    Pixies

I'm not buying another record until they come out. (Who am I kidding?)
