yeah, but Like Suicide was written, music and lyrics, by Chris.....so there's always the chance he'll pull it out and surprise some unsuspecting audience, at some point...

hope it's when WE see him!!!!
    :)
    ^He^Did^It^On^The^First^Tour :D

I'd say there's definetly a chance.. i mean, he's giving us All Night Thing.. why not Like Suicide?

  • hey..Chris actually said once that he won't play half the SG songs unless they are ones he wrote the lyrics and music to. He doesn't 'feel right' performing songs that were by the other members, etc.

This has to be reiterated! BUMP!

Anyway, I'm soooo jealous too, I want to hear Fell On Black Days live and acoustic. He sounds so good when he screams "I sure don't mind a chaaaaannnnnge" towards the end :)
  • And on another note, on the Euphoria Morning tour Cornell used to play "Like Suicide" frequently at the end of the show - full band.

he did a re-worked Like Suicide os his solo tour, which to me, didn´t quite work. If you haven´t got Kim Thayil, it´s better to just do acoustic Like Suicide (which is awesome)

Well yeah it wasn't the same, but he played it in the style of EM which I love. It's so bizarre and unique!

I bet it's incredible acoustic though... with just chris.. mmmmm..

Like suicide acoustic is a B-side from the The Day I tried To Live single. You haven´t heard that one yet??

Last night something truly amazing happened. Chris Cornell played an acoustic solo gig in Stockholm, Sweden, at a place called The O-Bar. The crowd consisted of about 150 people, most of whom where invited by SonyBMG. A few lucky ones, including myself, had won tickets through a local radio station (Bandit 106.3). The show was nothing short of amazing. Chris seemed to be in a really good mood and told us that this was the smallest acoustic gig he done since 1987, when he had played with Matt Cameron. After the main set Chris went off the stage through the crowd. He soon came back for the encore. When he came back people started shouting requests. I shouted for "Full On Kevin's Mom", Chris laughed and played a few bars. According to a guy who works at the radiostation Chris had only promised to play six songs, he ended up playing thirteen.

I envy you!!! You are so lucky. That would have been awesome to see!!!
  • Good news for the ones who weren't there! The radio station that gave out tickets is going to broadcast the show on wednesday! It's a swedish station, but they broadcast online on http://www.bandit1063.com. I don't know the time yet, but i'll get back to you when I do.

  • Bandit 106.3 (http://www.bandit1063.com) is going to broadcast the show on friday 15-16, swedish time (that's 3-4 pm if I'm not mistaken). And again sunday 20-21 (8-9 pm). They claim that it's the entire concert... but I'm not sure since I believed it to be longer than just one hour, well we'll see.

    Notes:
I edited out a commercial break and all the annoying loud radio station ads in the broadcast, and I did my best to do the editing as smooth as possible.
Bandit 106.3 is only broadcasting locally in Stockholm and the signal isn't the best. I used my cable TV outlet because I got the best signal there. Despite that you can occasionally hear some "noise" or "static" because of the somewhat weak signal. I just wanted to point that out so you don't expect a perfectly clean recording, but it doesn't really hurt the performance unless you are sensitive and listen carefully with headphones.

well I must say I was impressed, I'm not an Audioslave fan, but I grew up with Soundgarden. I thought he kinda lost it a bit vocal-wise but this set was amazing, fantastic setlist and performance. Gonna learn his version of Billie Jean, I used to play a hardcore version with my old band, this will be a nice change :)

I've been enjoying the audio to this set for a while now and I'm still wowed by his interpretation of "Billie Jean"...it's almost enough to make me like Michael Jackson again!

But then "Wide Awake", "Peace, Love and Understanding" and "All Night Thing" aren't to shabby either!

    Cornell is amazing.
