the inventors of synth pop, the one and only..

    THE MOODY BLUES

The intro is synth pop at it's finest.
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

No-one does, unless they're deranged, but have you ever heard a song and thought, in spite of that godawful production, I can't help but like the song itself?

    Funny how opinions differ...

I remember "So" first hitting the radio waves and thinking it was such a breath of fresh air...compared to what else was going on in the mid 1980's...that cd was in a class all it's own

Ozzy O agreed ;) just in case his opinion matters ;)

That cd, So, was and still is, a masterpiece!
  • "Japanese Boy" - Aneka

One of the best songs ever made.
And the rythm track is pure rave.

i think it's from the 70's but, Whe are the robots by KRAFTWERK it's amazing

Your are absolutely correct - "So" is a GREAT album.......and it doesn't at all fall under the "horrible, synthy production" thread topic

.....I just copied most of my "Essential 80's" playlist from my iPod

.....and thats why I said "MOST of the bands from my above list I enjoy in a cheesy-80's-guilty pleasure kinda way" :)

    Mr Mister - Broken Wings

in fact, I don't even think the synths in this are horrible. As far as 80s production goes, it's fine.
