My most recent purchase was Bob Dylan's "Modern Times", and it's goddamn brilliant. The old guy's still got it.
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000B5KRNO/104-6700337-0514311?ie=UTF8

"But what I'm listening to most of the time at present is an album called Good For What Ails You, which is an album of songs that people used to listen to at medicine shows all over the States. It's quite an interesting album and I think that people would be well advised to pick it up." Jack White - Sunday Mail (Australia) Dec 18, 2005

WOLFMOTHER-WOLFMOTHER. I've only listen to it a couple of times, but i'm not sure if i'm crazy about the singer. What little i've heard they don't sound too bad musicaly . I'll listen to it a few more times and see if i like it or not.

Just bought John Mayer's Try! and Continuum. Both are great albums. The first one on the live album is unbelievable (Who Did You Think I Was?). I hear shades of Hendrix/Stevie Ray.

you know he does a version of 'the wind cries mary' and 'lenny'. so it's not surprising you hear vaughan and hendrix.
