I got my last three albums on the same day. And it was quite a while ago, too, when I was on a holiday in Japan. Like two or three months ago now.
"Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders" - Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders
"Things Aren't So Beautiful Now" - A Thorn For Every Heart
"Undoing Ruin" - Darkest Hour
In order from worst to last. When I saw Taylor Hawkins, I instantly bought it because he was the drummer from the Foo Fighters and he had an amazing voice when he sung one of their songs live earlier this year, but only about two songs off the album turned out to be slightly good - the rest seemed like one massive experiment with some effects pedals, which isn't something I like. A Thorn For Every Heart was good - I had some downloaded versions of their songs from their Myspace and stuff, but I couldn't find any of their albums in Australia, so it was a relief finding them there. It was alright. And Undoing Ruin is the best metal/screamo album I have ever bought by one of my favourite bands - their lyrics aren't like "we drink Satan's blood" and "kill violence rape" and stuff - they've actually got pretty meaningful lyrics.

Pretty damned good...and markedly different than their last album "Without Feathers".
