  • whats so cringe worthy bout the doors. i dont like the beatles a whole lot, i found there music really really boring. but yet i still respect them

Like someone already said, it's mostly the organ I dislike about the Doors and I just didn't dig their whole vibe. Sorry, everybodys not gonna dig what you dig. The Beatles IMO, are simply amazing though and I'm just as mystified about someone not getting them. But to each their own.

I wouldn't call the beatles overrated. They re-defined rock music paving the way for concept albums, feedback for the first time on record, grunge music (revolution), etc. etc. they were light years ahead of their time. all of the praise and credit they get is well-deserved!!!!!!!

If you guys want to know the real godfather of hard rock as we know it.. its a Native American man named Link Wray..

Go listen to "Rumble".. and when you think "cool, some crazy song from the 70s".. he wrote that in the mid 50s.. there was no distortion then.. he created it by poking holes in his amp.. everyone from Townsend to Hendrix idolized him but radio stations banned him because the sound was too crazy for the times and it would literally put people in a frenzy when he played his stuff live.

Sorry to those who already knew about him.. but I think a lot don't.

Elvis, while extemely talented, was mostly in the right place at the right time, and happened to be the right color for mass acceptance. He basically coat-tailed Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Bo Didley, and countless other underappreciated black rock, and blues men
