Who's worse - Creed or Nickelback?

  • Nickleback. Both really suck but i think i could at least unpleasantly sit through a Creed song if I was being forced.
  • I thought I was the only one!!! I hate Creed, Nickleback and Hinder! They suck suck suck and it feels good to say so!

Edit: I hate Daughtry and 3 Doors Down...too.
When life gives you lemons, throw them at somebody.
  • Nickleback Fo Sho, Ode and Torn are great songs, buts that about it...fuck the rest and fuck Scott Stapp, (their guitarist was sweet though...Mark Tremotti or something like that, but no Mikey)

lets put aside the creed hate for a second.....tremonti would outplay mccready any day of the week. and i speak as a major fan of mike......

I've seen both live and Mike wins it any day of the week. Tremonti isn't bad, but McCready is just better.
  • Nickelback. They are just awful. At least Creed's first album was pretty good, IMO. Nickelback literally makes me cringe when I hear them.

Hmm, Tremonti's shredding in Alter Bridge is damn good, I'd say he's just as competent a guitarist as Mike is - just a matter of taste. Here's a pretty cool version of Find the Real to show what Tremonti's got: http://youtube.com/watch?v=AAxYgAirHYA

I think Mike is an awesome guitarist but Tremonti is a better shredder and certainly has more speed. Plus he is a more prolific songwriter, far more so. Whether you like what he writes is a matter of taste.

Yeah it kind of makes me laugh how people discredit Tremonti so quickly just cause he was in Creed, people should check out his shredding on the song One day remains, it's super fast.

i couldn't agree more.....i'm not saying he is in the league of zakk wylde or john petrucci but he is damn good. the track he did for guitar world (i think) "ahavo rabo taco salad" was amazing.

    Nickleback.

Only Creed's likeness to PJ saves them in this one, only just. Nickleback's likeness to a pile of shit makes them lose this one.

Well, I just make my opinion on 2 shows that I've seen. Tremonti is good, but he don't make my style of music. There is no real emotion in his guitar playing, and Mike can do that.

Thats the way i feel about these shred guys like Malmsteen and the like. I mean, its impressive and good show boating moves, but then i think whats the point? lol
9 times out of 10 it sounds awful when someone shreds in the middle of a song.

    Yeah, he's in the '1' category. :D

You don't think he puts any emotion into In Loving Memory? Personally I prefer Mike's style, but I think Tremonti is equally as good on a technical basis.

  • Okay, I thought I would never be as disgusted with an artist as I am with Creed. Lately, however, I have found my stomach turning to the same extent with Nickelback. I'm trying to decide who's worse, but I really can't decide between the two. Help, someone?

I remember the first nickelback EPs because they are from the area I live.. they aren't bad actually.. Hesher and the one after are decent.. they went completely downhill when they put out the album with How you remind me.. which is when 99% of you heard them.. so as far as you guys know yes they are fucking terrible... but they actually started out ok

but to choose lesser of 2 evils would be hard.. because of how shitty they both are now and how big of ego maniacs chad and scott and well fuck everyone in both bands really are

i would say nickelback by a hair

Nickleback is by far the worse band. "My Own Prison" isn't THAT bad of an album. It has some good lyrics. Even though every thing Creed has done since then is pure shit. Nickleback has never written a good song.

i can't even believe i'm doing this.. but since its a comparison with creed i will..

have you heard anything off Curb or Hesher? check out little friend, detangler, fly, just four..

i consider those albums by a completely different band.. they shoulda changed their name
