I think the staff at the hotel took it.

Ok, so this cd is pretty fucking good. Overall I could do without 'Charmer' and 'My Party' but whatever.

'McFearless' is probably the best song on there, I've seen that said already. 'Ragoo', 'Fans', 'Arizona', 'Knocked Up', 'Black Thumbnail', are all pretty kick ass.

They did a good job not re-creating the older albums, and still having something pretty original.

That being said, is the tracklist a little messed up somewhere? What is the official tracklist?

    1 knocked up
    2 charmer
    3 on call
    4 mcfearless
    5 black thumbnail
    6 my party
    7 true love way
    8 fans
    9 ragoo
    10 the runner
    11 trunk
    12 camaro
    13 arizona

    ??? is that right?

I only listened to their debut a couple of times and I wasn't impressed at all, but I decided to give the new one a try. It is a lot better than I expected, but far from great. The middle heading towards the end of the album hold the best songs(whose names I'm not sure of). There are maybe 3-5 I really enjoy. I think "Knocked Up" is a terrible way to start off the album and the songs immediately following it aren't that great.

Still, better than I expected, there are a handful of pretty good songs on the album.

"on call" is tied with "parting of the sensory" by modest mouse for best song ive heard so far this year

Just get it. I don't understand looking down on a leak. I've heard the album, and still can't wait to pick up the cd and the vinyl when it comes out. And I'm still excited about it.

"Ragoo", "On Call", "Fans", "True Love May"... they sound a little like the Police on this album. It's a definite step forward and they will be huge in the U.S. if great music delivers great success.
  • I just gave this album a listen. I have to say, I was highly skeptical of all the hype it was getting, but after listening to it, it's really brilliant. I've only listened to it once, so it's a bit early to say which songs I like best. I agree that the ending is the strongest part, though. I just can't believe how much their sound has matured since Aha Shake. I don't know if I'll be able to listen to those older albums after this. Any word on a US tour yet?

After probably 15 listens, I'm changing my review of this album to fucking amazing.

  • Just finishing up my 3rd listen...is it too early to name this Album of the Year?

And that YouTube video is amazing, I discovered it the other day. I love how Eddie obliterates those tambourines by the end.
  • Hey does "Arizona" sound a little like "Truth be Known" from Mirrorball. Awesome song BTW, so is Truth be Known!
