Cant believe such an amazing band effectively turned into the massively overated Audioslave.

'The Battle of Los Angeles' pisses all over anything Audioslave have done, from a great height.

    Miss Rage. Miss Soundgarden.

I used to hate rap, then I heard RAGE. It'd be cool if they were still around.

If Soundgarden ever reforms we will take back Matt thank you very much, he is the core of that band. Rage Agianst the Machine would be awesome in the current political climate but I can never listen to them all the time-got to be in the mood or at the gym.

I still don't like rap. I think most (key word: most) of it is just terrible musically and lyrically. But Rage took the best of both rock and rap and put it into one giant musical orgasm-machine.

Tom Morello = Amazing Guitarist. With Rage was a tad bit heavier, but boy did these guys Rock! Can't say I mind Audioslave though.

I have to agree here...Transplants are one of the only other bands where I like the rappin'
I've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.

imo, you could easily replace "rap" with "rock" in this sentence and it would be just as true. people who make an effort to look/know where to look tend to find incredible stuff in just about any genre.

    NOOOO WAY!

The first one maybe, but nothing on Evil Empire compares to Clam Like A Bomb, Maria or Born Of A Broken Man.

Nah, each to their own. Just prefer it to Evil Empire, lyrically and definately the production.

Still, miss this band greatly, Audioslave do not compare.

I love the first album and the Battle of LA. Was never such an Evil Empire fan. It's a good album...but not as good as the other two, in my opinion.

had the pleasure of seeing rage twice. fuckin awesome band and sadly missed
    Hail Hail
  • rage is so great. not much music can get you fired up like rage. rage is PERFECT during political times. what's going on is so obvious and rediculous you want to get it out with as much force as that band. i love audioslave and it's better for everyday rocking, but i love the rage of rage. definately something you can listen to over and over.
bombs, dropping down, please forgive our hometown
  • Rage rules!!!!!!!!!!
"How could I just kill a man" is a great song.
I like COP KILLER from Ice T too...
Rage had a concert with Pearl in Ljubljana 6 years ago...I wish I was there

  • Seriously, Audioslave is alright; decent. Zach's solo album will come out around the time i'm showing my kids the music that dad listened to when he was in high school. so please, just mend the fuses, get back together, and start making that hardcore rock that makes want to punch a wall (in a nice way of course :D).

i made a bunch of mixes for the gym and it turns out that most of them have alot of rage on there. it's great for working out!

highly, HIGHLY underrated song off Evil Empire:

    DOWN RODEO

Yeah I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun
These people ain't seen a brown skin man
    Since their grandparents bought one

So now I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun
These people ain't seen a brown skin man
    Since their grandparents bought one

So now I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun

Bangin' this bolo tight on this solo flight can't fight alone
Funk tha track my verbs fly like tha family stone
Tha pen devils set that stage for tha war at home
Locked wit out a wage ya standin' in tha drop zone
The clockers born starin' at an empty plate
Momma's torn hands cover her sunken face
We hungry but them belly full
The structure is set ya neva change it with a ballot pull
In tha ruins there's a network for tha toxic rock
School yard ta precinct, suburb ta project block
Bosses broke south for new flesh and a factory floor
The remains left chained to the powder war

Can't waste a day when the night brings a hearse
So make a move and plead the fifth 'cause ya can't plead the first
Can't waste a day when the night brings a hearse
So now I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun
These people ain't seen a brown skin man
    Since their grandparents bought one

Yes I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun

    Since their grandparents bought one

So now I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun

Bare witness to tha sickest shot while suckas get romantic
They ain't gonna send us campin' like they did my man Fred Hampton
Still we lampin' still clockin' dirt for our sweat
    A ballots dead so a bullet's what I get
A thousand years they had tha tools
    We should be takin' 'em
Fuck tha G-ride I want the machines that are makin' em
Our target straight wit a room full of armed pawn to
Off tha kings out tha west side at dawn

Can't waste a day when the night brings a hearse

hey all, I downloaded this torrent not to long ago, it's a qood concert to see RATM when they were young, playing a small club in Philadelphia. Highly recommend DL'ing it and watching. You can see the rage in Zack as he looks at the audience.

I really love Rage, but I'm kind of glad they broke up. With seeing how boring and unoriginal Tom is in Audioslave, I'd rather not see it with Rage. I think their time had come. I think their last two albums couldn't touch the first two and they had lost their creativity and edge. I know a lot of people will disagree, but I just hate Guerilla Radio, Sleep Now in the Fire, Testify, and Renegades of Funk and turn them every time they come on the radio.
