I am coming in from LA. My plane lands at 6 a.m. I don't have any plans other than to go to the pre-party and then the show.
Can anyone give me some advice on where and how to kill some time in or around Hartford? Restaurant ideas (or if there is a particularly good type of casual food joint that you would recommend), cool things to see, etc.
I am not expecting much, based on the Hartford reviews I have seen, but I find it hard to believe that there is nothing to do in this city. Thanks!

Here is my plan. Going to the venue at 2:00 to pick up my tickets, then going to hotel to check in. Then getting cab (or parking in Church St. garage) to Sweet Jane's. So, I'll probable be there around 3:00 or 3:30.
Anyone check with the venue, to see what their policy is, with severe weather? I for one, am not willing to get struck by lightning, to see the boys. Maybe rain, but no lightning!!

warm, muggy, always chance of a t-storm...but that's summer in new england. don't mean so sound cavalier here but haven't heard anything in the line of t-storms and what happens. i'm sure they'd postpone the start time.
For the night of the show. Whomever is going to sit with me, will get a ride there, to the venue. A ride back, is another story. Whomever wants the ticket will have to find a ride back on their own, or a taxi. (To their hotel, or where they parked their car.)
