yay, my friends and I just got 5 of the VIP tickets! I've always wondered how people got the VIP seats at the Rave, I usually just stand behind them :o

I drove past the Rave yesterday and smiled thinking about July 17th. :D

The Reading show goes on sale Saturday at 10.

Does any know if the Borgata show is confirmed because the Goo Goo Dolls are playing the Event Centre on 7/27 at the Borgata?

    http://ev6.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/SEGetEventInfo?ticketCode=GS%3AGLOBAL-BORGATA%3ABOR07%3AEBG0727%3A&linkID=global-borgata&shopperContext=&caller=&appCode=

Unless Chris is playing the Music Box which is an even smaller venue?

HOLY SHIT. Chris Cornell in READING!? MY Reading????? Woohoo!

Man am I glad I checked this thread today! Haha! The man wasn't lying when he said he'd come back "many more times" when I saw him in Philly.

    This just made my day.

I was hoping you'd catch my post about Reading. I don't think I can make that show, but I'll be making the Electric Factory one.

I'm still curious to see if he is playing the Music Box on the 27th at the Borgata. I know the Borgata usually doesn't schedule two concerts one night and the Goo Goo Dolls are already headlining the main venue.

Hey there! All of you Chris Cornell fans are aware this album launches on the 5th, right? And you also know that it is being pre-sold? All I can say, from seeing him and also hearing some of the other shows on youtube and MSN- that this man's voice has never been better!! I did not even start listening to CC until his debut solo- EM- and since then I have been hooked on everything he has done! He makes me look into my soul with those songs that only his beautiful voice can deliver! Wow!! Anyway- I've got 2 CDs on order and cannot wait to hear that passion he brings!! Rock on!!! Chris is the BEST!!!

I totally agree, 1000%, I feel the same about the songs and the voice!!! I´ve bought one CD on the concert last week and pre-ordered one!!
Since I got the album I cant stop listening to it, its made by a genius!! The voice is so awesome that I get one goose bump after another!!

WHOOHOO! Chris is coming to Toronto on his Birthday!!!!!

Pre-sale was today (still going on till early tomorrow). The only had shitty balconies available so I'm waiting for the general onsale on Friday.
One way or another I'm going to be there close to the stage.

    Ohh I'm sooo stoked!!

I thought about going, but $70 a ticket?

Then again I love his music, but he's by far not my most entertaining front man.

SEVENTY???????????? Most I've paid is 44 but that was for a festival. Average for just Chris for me is right at 30 bucks.

I'll be there, but I don't know how they would squeeze 2000 people in the venue. :)

The venue website says they can accomodate 1500 people. I've been there a few times and I think 1500 would be a little tight. I guess it depends on how/where they set up the stage.

As for getting tickets ... you are forgetting that people in Nashville have generally horrible taste in music. The radio stations here are TERRIBLE!! But fewer people at the show means a better chance that I'll get better seats (and hopefully you too).

If your into country music, then Nashville is the mecca.... ;) Other than country, yeah....

So is it all seats and no floor?

I'm not sure how it'll work. If there's a floor then I'm there ... I'll be the short girl in a PJ shirt trying to see over everyone else's heads.

What the hell are you doing in Nashville?? Chris plays nuff times in your neck of the woods?? hahahaha

    Ya I'm Jealous.

so what songs did he play?? 2 and a half hrs huh? SWEET!!
Way longer than when he played here. Fuckin venue cut him short cause it doubles as a night club and they had to be open for that by a certain time. GRRR

I just got back from the Nashville show as well. It was pretty awesome. Does anyone know where to get the complete setlist? He played Hunger Strike into Say Hello To Heaven. He also played an acoustic version of Call Me A Dog. Lots of other great songs, cant remember all of them. They closed with Black Hole Sun.
