Sounds straight out of mid-70s classic rock - great tune (for some reason, when I listen to this song, I immediately transition into the original version of Baker Street, nit the Foo Fighter remake)...
Aslo, a killer version of Decoration Day can be found at Fame Recordings MySpace page... Sounds like its just Jason by himself...

(In this genre, also see Kathleen Edwards... pretty cool, but her voice isn't for everyone)...
I've only heard 'Back to Me' (the song, not the album). I'll have to track down the whole album, shes got a great voice.
Don't know if I'd classify DBT as alt-country though. Can't think of any other tag for them, which I suppose is a good thing. They've got their own sound.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.
Kathleen Edwards highlights from her first two records for anyone interested (btw, I prefer "Failer" as a total package and suggest folks start there):
Off of Back to Me:
Back To Me
In State
Independent Thief
Off of Failer:
12 Bellvue (favorite song of hers)
Westby
Lone Wolf

For those who missed my thread the other day, you can go here to hear (what I assume is going to be) the next single, EASY ON YOURSELF...
