i'm glad i went w/the triple matte, it was more expensive but way worth it.
It is pricey, but does give a nice look. I got my AC triple matted. Black, a thin pink and then the off-white of the sign. I'll try and take a photo of it. Don't be embarassed by the expense. I'd be interested to know how it compares to the cost of my AC, is the LA poster as big? I know mine cost a lot, but was it worth it? Considering I got the poster for a bargain (10C sale), I'd say yes. The only problem I have now is that the other posters I get sort of need the same treatment and I can't afford that!
I love the triple mat. It keeps the original look of the poster without accenting one particular color.
Stupid question... How do you keep the poster from moving in the frame? In high school we did some mating and we would tape the art to the mat with scotch or masking tape. You can't do that with these.

mylar pockets or photo mounting corners work nicely
I believe my framers used some kind of tape to mount it to the backing board. I was very specific about it being 100% reversible and they said it's like museums use or something so it's got to be OK. The poster has a slight wave in it from being rolled, but I guess that's my fault for not flattening it before taking it in. They said that it will flatten in frame over time.
Just got got this one back from the framers today. I know alot of you guys arent fans of this one, but i think it looks pretty sweet once framed. Let me know what you think guys!! AJ

Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.

Just be careful with the tape. I've had stuff framed "100% archival safe/museum quality" only to have the print get wavy from the tape. I personally prefer the mylar corners but to each their own.

the wavy from the tape is because the framer used too much water... done right you should not see any water activated hinges on the back of art work.
Now, I couldn't find it in a search (probably did it wrong)...but does anyone have a picture(s) of Borgota Pink and/or Gorge 06 Klausen framed? those are the next 2 on the docket and I'm struggling w/ frame choices...

I posted these along time ago in this thread, but here's my pink Borgata:
Love the Toronto 2 as well. Is that a black mat over a white mat, or is it just a black mat with a white core? I figured it was a double mat, but I wanna be sure because I like the idea so much I might try something similar. Thanks
the palms, in the breeze, still blow green
and the waves in the sea still absolute blue
thanks guys for the feedback. im slowing going broke with every poster i get framed but i dont care. they mean alot to me. On avg each one of these babies cost $130 Canadian, and thats because the framer cut me a deal. To anwser your question benjamin, your correct
the toronto 2 is a double matte black over white. And as for the gorge matte i was surprised that they had the exact color that is in the cliff on the poster. i think it works really well.

Those look great!! Where do you take your posters? I went to Aaron Bros for my first and only and it was a bit steep. I did get a single mat but I didn't think it would be over $180...maybe I'll get the rest without a mat...
Tell the captain 'This boats not safe and we're drowning.'
Turns out he's the one making waves
Looking good, just did mine today, museum glass, triple mat, bottom two mats have a reverse bevel and top two mats are raised to create more depth. I also used the same frame I used on my Portland.

I believe it was 1/4 inch pink matte on bottom, 1.5 inch black matte on top, and a black metal frame.
