Julia finished my Band Of Horses / Hatch print from their show at The Ryman back in March...

Julia did a custom cut on the top matte to match a Ryman patch I bought at the gift shop and floated it on a gold textured matte.
She put a blue denim textured matte around the print to go with the ink color...and used a dark brown linen matte for the pictures from the show and a postcard of The Ryman's stained glass windows. She also floated my ticket stub on top of this matte!!

I'm not sure...BUT...I may be FINISHED with my framing projects for now!!
Finally running out of wall space and would have to take something down to put a new project up!!

Another awesome framing job! Say it isn't so...no more framing for you. Well, at least Julia will be available now for the rest of us! ;):)) :x

At DerbyDave's request, here are a couple pics of Julia's work on my 94 Hess. This is the first print I ever bought from my first PJ show. #67 of 350 bought directly from Derek Hess at a record show for a whopping $20. She did an amazing job. Unfortunately, the pics don't do it justice as you can't really see the detail in the matte which has a really nice, almost blue/black texture to it. I tried to get some tight shots but it just doesn't read very well. She also floated my beat up ticket stub as well as another little souvenier that has a story behind it.

Hi, Matt. Love the story behind this! Tour dates soon, I hope...then you and Dave can decide on Beck at Red Rocks. Definitely will want to meet up with you if the Beck show is in the cards for you guys!
    Hey Ginger...
We pretty much decided to skip the Beck shows at The Ryman & Red Rocks...
Matt went to the Santa Barbara show when we were out in Vegas for the NAB Convention in April and we are seeing him here in Columbus and up in Detroit in June!!
Let's try and figure out a good PJ show that we can all hit on the fall tour...I'd love to see you and JP too if we can all get together!!
Absolutely...still a lot of dates open in Denver (Red Rocks, Pepsi Center, 1st Bank center, AND Dick's Sporting Goods). Plus, MSG and THE GORGE! A birthday show would be phenomenal (Sept. 5th). Can't wait for the announcement...thinking June 10th!!! :). Tell Matt I said hi!

I'll ride the wave where it takes me...

I got my first poster today! :D Only took a couple days btw.

Does anyone have advice for me on how to frame it? Never done this before. I know it's probably good idea to take it somewhere and get it framed for me but a) I don't think there's anyplace like that around here and b) I'm afraid it's going to be a lot more money than I have.

It's the Sydney BDO poster. I was at the show but didn't but it there, when it popped up on here I went for it cuz I really like the design. I wanna see if I can possibly get a frame that I can switch upside down from time to time (the nature of the print) but I genuinely have no idea what I'm doing.

I'll believe it when I see it. Once PJ adds new tour dates, DerbyDave will find more room. He does have ceilings ya know.

My hubs gave me my birthday present early and had this poster framed for me. I wasn't at the show, but the kitty looks like a mix between our late ginger tomcat Mr Pickles and our present furball Sam, and I love the way it looks. The sperms remind me of my mom. She is a gyn and expert for artificial insemination image. She loves kitties too, so she went on and bought this poster for me for Easter. I love how the colour of the mat works with the poster colours, making them less "screamy". I never used a coloured mat before, that's why I'm so excited!
We went to Hobby lobby, got a frame 40% off with a coupon and chose the mat (it has a colour very very close to the colour of the sperms). Then they cut the mat for us on a really cool machine and the woman assembled the whole thing professionally for $1,50. I am stoked. It looks so cool. And we paid around 50 bucks in total. I know HL has a bad rep, but at least it's not Walmart image. They do have a nice choice of mats as well. We are on a budget with framing, so I think we will defo go there again. Oh, and we asked. With that cutting machine they have, cutting circles into a mat is not a problem at all. The first opening in the mat is always included in the mat price, for every other one you pay 2 bucks a piece.

Don't be ashamed....many of us are sitting on posters from years back waiting for the right time/money/framer place to hang/etc for this art. All of my framing projects are on hold until I interview/find the right framer in my area to take care of my S/N Pitt 13 Munk One. That bad boy deserves nothing but the best.
