Thanks, I have a few more and wanted to keep them all the same because they are all in the same room. I'll take some snaps when they are all up and lit.“ "Thank you Palestrina. Great frame jobs. Question re the Christchurch 09 poster from Klausen - I was recently watching the Mike Tyson mini-series on Animal Planet and they reference that his face tattoo was inspired by the Moai warriors of New Zeland - I know I know, random, but is that the same influence as the Klausen print?0

I've framed that one. I kept things fairly simple... Thin black fame, with a narrow red mount, and wider white mount on the outside of the red. Simle, but I'm quite pleaed with it. Sorry, about the description there... I'm trying to figure out how to upload a photo!
Thanks for your help you guysJust been to the framers this morning...tried out your ideas, but somehow it didn't work for me....the red mount/mat was nice but it kinda took away from my fave bit in the poster - the dragon
I liked a blue mount but we couldn't find the right shade. Then tried that jade/teal/greenish-blue on the poster, but couldn't find that either. Took a while and luckily the lady who runs the shop was very helpful and friendly. Finally picked a textured grey/silver mount/mat and a slightly rounded gun-metal frame - really makes the red pop and compliments the dragon. I used an online framing thingy and this is close to what it will look like. What do u guys think?

Looks nice. I had the same problem trying to find a good fit for the mat. Ended up with a similar grey mat, but also decided to double mat with the red underneath to give some contrast."Then the Spirit of God hovered over the water, and God said, Let there be music, and there was Pearl Jam."
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?0 -

ooh, schmancyseriously, though....looks awesome! The double mat with grey and red really works well. But unfortunately it's already costing me an arm and a leg, so I'll just have to stick with what I've chosen. Thanks for sharing

That is almost the same as mine! The only difference is that my black frame is a bit thinner, and I went for a pure white on the outside instead of grey. The proportion of the red mount on the inside (or mat as you guys seem to call it!!) and the outside mount is virtually the same as mine though. Mine is hanging proudly in my hallway!
I'll try and get some pics up. sickofit wrote:ugh, this thread has sooooo many pages. I'm too lazy to go through it all....I'm looking for help & ideas on how to frame my London 2010 poster.
I'm thinking a fairly broad frame in dark silver/gun-metal - not too fancy. Not sure what colour the mount shd be (the thick card that goes in the frame around the poster. And I also wanna include the ticket stub and 10C armband in the frame. Apparently it's gonna cost me close to NOK1000 here in Norway :P Or shd I do just the poster? Any help is appreciated
DARK blue top mat, bright red second mat. I've framed a couple of them already. Trust me.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

This looks good. I'd like to see the finished version when available. Nice choices.
Chris, do you have any photos with the dark blue top mat, bright red second mat you can share? That sounds good too.0
